Her feet flew through the fields, as the gentle breeze ushered her onwards. Grinning, her arms pumped back and forth as she sprinted towards the trees. The bright emerald trees transformed into a deep orange, speckled with crimson. The young girl frowned as leaves crunched under her boots, and she leaped onto a rock.

"Primrose? Prim!" A voice echoed. She quickly brushed the wisps of white hair out of her eyesight, continuing to run. Dodging trees and leaping over brush, she stared up at the strange leaves, swirling around her. Her entire life, she had only known greenery, yet now she was surrounded by a foreign color of orange, red, and yellow.

Just then, a hand hoisted her up from behind. Trying to scream, a cold hand clamped over her mouth. She writhed in their grip, fighting against the restraints of her attacker.

"Now what's a little Fae like you doing here?" A voice purred. Forcing her head to turn around, the girl yelped as a hand wrenched her hair. Three towering men, all with identical orange hair and deep yellow eyes gave her a menacing stare. The girl screamed as loud as she could, until a burning sensation filled her mouth.

She gagged as the smoke filled her throat, and noticed a fiery gag binding her mouth shut. Still, she knew her scream was heard when a large beast growled at her attackers. It's steps shook the forest, rumbling with anger as it stepped into the clearing.

The first Fae, the one that had caught her, merely smiled as he held the girl close. "Wonderful for you to join us, Tamlin."

Before he could rip the man to shreds, a new voice emerged, as a man with matching hair and one deep yellow eye emerged from the forest behind the beast. The man glowered at the other three men. "Let her go," Lucien snarled, "Or else I'll make you."

The men merely burst into laughter, as the eldest grabbed her hair and twisted it painfully. The young girl whimpered as the beast prepared to attack.

"I wouldn't be too hasty," the eldest smirked. A cool tip of his blade skimmed her neck, and the beast hesitated, prowling back and forth. The young girl fought the man's grip, but the Fae barely flinched.

"What do you want with her?" Tamlin growled, suddenly back in normal form. The transition caught the men off guard, yet he responded cooly, "I believe our father has some business with our dear brother. I'll be glad to exchange the girl for him, but it's a shame, Lucien...you really did look better with both eyes."

The three brothers burst into laughter as Lucien glanced down shamefully. The girl narrowed her eyes at Lucien's embarrassment and grit her teeth. If there was one thing she couldn't stand, it was bullies.

Swiftly, she rammed her head into the man's jaw. The movement caught him off guard, knocking her from his grip. Less than a moment later, Tamlin was in beast form and attacking the man. The other two ran for Lucien, who quickly ran for the girl.

Firm hands wrapped around her shoulders as Lucien shoved her towards the forest, urging her to run. The girl quickly stumbled away, the gag of fire making it difficult. As she gasped for air from the running, she was only met with smoke. Shouting and screams chased her from the woods, as blades clashed together.

Collapsing near the border, her hazy vision was able to make out the greenery of her home. Desperately trying to stumble towards it, she hacked and coughed at the smoke.

Darkness filled her vision, and the girl was sure she had passed out. Yet, when it faded away, only a man remained. She couldn't see much as her head swam back and forth. The young girl reached out for the man in the darkness, and he swiftly picked her up as if she weighed nothing. Carrying her to the edge of the crimson forest, he set her down in the soft spring grass. Her gag was cut away and she gasped, taking back in the fresh dewy air of spring.
