The prince simply rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Pledging to me will only disappoint you, why can't you just leave me alone? It'll make both of our lives easier"
The knight sighed out before standing in front of the prince, his lazy eyes boring into his.
"I am required to be with you at all times, I agreed to these terms with your parents. They trust me enough to be beside you, also it's not like we're complete strangers"
The knight crouches down on one knee, carefully taking the prince's right hand and bringing it close to his face.
"I am assigned to be with you so it can't be helped anyways, get used to it from now on"
"I'm not going to open up that easily just so you know"
The knight placed his unoccupied hand behind his own back, leaning his forehead to rest on the back of the prince's hand.
"I pledge to be there for you at all times, protect you from any harm and danger. I'll be your shield so that your skin won't be tainted-"
He then pulled his head away a bit before leaning his head again and placing a small kiss onto the back of the prince's hand.
"And I will also help unlock that locked heart of yours, troublesome little prince"
