Chapter 5 - Arguments, and The Call

Caroline POV

"I..I how would you know anything about, that?" he looked at m like I was stupid. "It's obvious, you spend a lot of time alone with him, and you acted very, very nervous when Stefan bumped into you while you were walking out" "Your right, I love you but I feel different when I'm with him. It seems more special, more intimate and he doesn't bite me all the time." I scoffed. "Now I'd prefer it if you'd leave." I had my back turned but I heard him leave and close the door behind him. I walked back to the bathroom, laying the towel beside the sink an stared at myself through the mirror, I'm not that pretty so...why does Klaus want me? I looked away from the mirror and got back in the shower, I ran my fingers through my hair and got lost in thought and then my phone rang I got out not caring about a towel and grabbed my phone. "hello?" I said. "who is this?" "Oh Caroline..uh Ya it's Klaus..umm I wanted to know if you'd like to come over and have dinner with me..umm just me. nobody else will be here..." I paused, in thought. No Kol, No Eljiah, No Rebekah, nobody but us... "Caroline? Are you there, love?" "uh, yes, and yes" "huh?" "Yes I'm here an yes, I'll come over and have dinner with you.... so when you want me to come by?" "uh round' eight." I checked the phone in my clock. it said it was 6:30 "ok, I'll be there....uh..love you? bye?!" I quickly hung up, my heart was pounding, and I felt like I was going to throw up, how could I say that! he's probably going...what the hell? Oh boy...well I'm going to go anyway. I set my jaw and looked at the mirror intensely. I went to my bedroom to look for some type of casual dress..

Klaus POV

before she hung up I heard "Ok, I'll be there....uh...love you? bye?!" I started to call her back, but decided to give her time to herself to think. I was going to wear what I had on..a green long sleeved v-neck and some plain jeans. I hope this looked good enough for her. I got my hybrids to put the big huge 20 person table into the basement and to put a 2 person table in its place, I was going to start cooking when she got here but I went ahead and set out a red wine with some blood mixed in with it. hmm..I set the table and got the ingredients out. We were having Tuna Steaks, with some mashed potatoes with Turkey gravy and shrimp and some steak and a salad with buttered bread, and for desert we were having vanilla ice cream and cranberry sauce and blueberry cheese cake. yum! I hope she would like it...I looked at my clock it was seven so I went ahead and made the desserts and set them in the freezer and set to work on dinner there was a lot to be done and by the time eight arrived I still wouldn't be done, and all I know is there's nothing more sexy then a cooking man.
