"I hate it here"
"I should've never have come"It's a really cloudy afternoon as usual in this scary place. I went to the manor garden to gaze at the pretty flowers growing beautifully. The Gardener must've worked so hard growing these flowers! I felt a little feeling of uselessness knowing she must've did all of the work, but still happy I got to help and that the flowers and plants are healthy and beautiful here. While I played with Wick, my best friend who is a dog, I noticed the sunflowers I was growing are about to bloom soon. I cheerfully smile as I get excited for the day the sunflowers will bloom. As I went to the manor shed to grab a water can, I saw a glimpse of a weak figure hiding behind a pillar full of veggies. I felt a little scared but the curiosity took over me as I walk closer towards the mysterious person. Turns out, it was my teammate for tomorrow's match. He looked new as if I've never seen him around before. The boy looked timid and had really pale skin with red eyes, blondish white hair covering his left eye and a dark black leather clothing covering up his entire body. He seemed like a really fragile person too.. He looks as if he's hiding from the light as well.
He looked really anxious and scared. I waved to get his attention then asked him a question using sign language, but he didn't seem to quite understand me. I told Wick to get me my notebook and a pen while I tried to communicate with the sick looking man. He was really, really quiet. So it kinda felt awkward most of the time. Not long after, Wick came back with what I needed.
<Are you okay? What are you hiding from?> I wrote before turning the notebook to him.
"No! You misunderstood! I wasn't hiding from anything at all!" he said while shaking his head. "Ah! I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to raise my voice.." With those words, his voice got softer than before. I couldn't help but giggle a little.
<Its alright! So what's wrong? You looked anxious about something and I couldn't help but worry> It took him quite a while to read as if he's making sure he didn't read it wrong.
"Ah.. I was searching for my shovel for tomorrow's game. I got distracted by something and I'm sure I lost it somewhere around here". He then looked down as he held his hands tightly together. "I really need it back... It means a lot to me"I felt a huge feeling of wanting to help in my stomach. I thought about it then asked if I could help. I'm sure I've seen a shovel laying around here somewhere.
His eyes spark as he looked at me with a hopeful cute expression.
"R-really? You'd help me? you'd actually help me? T-Thank you so much!.. It means a lot!"
"No one has offered to help before.. Thank you so much!"
No one has ever offered to help him? I feel so bad..
<It's no problem! By the way, I haven't met you before. Is it okay if I ask for your name?>
I wanted to get to know him more. I thought it'll be easier to call him by his name rather than calling him his role all the time in the match.
"My name? It's Kriess, Andrew Kriess!" His voice then turns into a soft tone. "..May I know yours?"
<I'm Victor! Victor Grantz! :)> We both smiled in silence for a while, I didn't know what to say at that time. "So uhm, shall we begin searching?" He started speaking suddenly. I nodded as we went our separate ways.Minutes passed, I saw a shiny thing glowing behind an old tree. I went to see what it was to find a rusty shovel that's almost the size as me covered in bandages. Is this the shovel Andrew was talking about? I don't know. I waved at him, trying to get his attention to come look. But unfortunately, he seems to be really focused on searching that he didn't seem to notice me or his surroundings. I picked up the shovel deciding I should do the walking and ask him instead. As I went further, I noticed a little flower about to bloom. It's a rose! I quickly went to take a closer look. A gasp can be heard through my stitched mouth as I excitingly waited for the little rose to bloom. Andrew somehow noticed then went towards where I was sitting.
"Uhm.. is something wrong?" he asked then bent down beside me. I pointed at the little rose with excitement. I haven't seen a flower bloom in front of my eyes before, this truly is a special moment! He seemed to immediately understand what I meant, then joined me into watching the rose bloom. I could feel an intense feeling for some reason but I choose to ignore it. We stayed silent most of the time but it didn't feel awkward at all. It's as if there were no reason to talk. We patiently admire the rose as it slowly blooms into beauty! Wick was jumping around happily too, she seems to be in excitement as well!
