High above the tallest building sat a lone vigilante. She watched all the cars rush by carrying passengers to and from their required destinations. The warm spring breeze of the city brushed her dark hair off her shoulders and into her face, covering the dimming blue eyes that hid behind that black mask. Nothing in this world could ever pull away the feeling that churned in the pit of her stomach that is the city she lived in. No one cared about what went on in the darkest parts, beneath the core of Newcastle; that's why a vigilante, like herself, rose to protect the city. With a big stretch and a yawn, the vigilante stood from her sitting position and started back to her apartment. The moonbeams danced across her indigo suit, as she scaled the rooftops of the buildings. Dogs barked and police sirens rang out, as she made her way to the last building on the corner of the street. Down below her was a single cop car parked in an alleyway with its lights and engine off; there were two officers inside staking out a robbery in progress across the street. Both the officers were quite young, close to the age of the vigilante above them. One had blonde hair, blue eyes, a clean shaved face and even jawline; while the other was of Asian descent with black hair, brown eyes and some facial hair. Every night, the vigilante watched them do their jobs from behind the shadows of the night; she was like their protector from above, a guardian angel if you will.

It's funny how she protects officers who defend the law, while she, a vigilante, bends the law to protect the city and others who live in it. But there is something about those two cops that makes the vigilante proud at what she does. Before she left her perch, the officers began exchanging conversation about if they'll see the vigilante again tonight.

"It's very quiet over there, too quiet I might add," the officer named Jace stated.

"Chill, man. I know that our guardian angel is watching over us. Nothing is going to happen, remember that," the second officer named Wyatt reassured his friend.

"How do you know? We could be sipping some coffee and then BAM! Before our very eyes all the money will be gone from that bank over there," Officer Jace pointed out.

Without a single word, the vigilante jumped on top of the cruiser, denting the roof a little. The officers inside jumped in fear, as coffee spilt all over the floor of the car and on their pants.

"What the heck? What was that?" Jace questioned.

"I do believe that was our guardian angel," Wyatt smirked.

The vigilante walked over and politely knocked on the driver's seat window and motioned to put the window down. Wyatt nodded and pushed the down button for the window, and lo and behold, the officers were face to face with their guardian angel.

"Good evening fellas," the vigilante grinned behind her mask.

Officer Jace was stunned to a point where words could not form; while Wyatt was unusually pleased to see the vigilante.

"Good evening to you," Wyatt smiled, "What brings you here at two in the morning?"

"Same reason you two are parked in the alley," the vigilante replied.

"And that reason is?" Jace raised an eyebrow.

The vigilante pointed towards the bank across the street. She knew that since the officers were parked in the alley, they were staking out a robbery in progress. Plus, it was always nice to see Officer Wyatt now and again. The officers nodded, and continued to watch the bank, except for Officer Wyatt who was very intrigued by the vigilante. He couldn't quite make her outfit out, but whatever she was wearing on her it was obviously tight.
