A babies first cry splits the air of the hospital room. But along with this first cry of life there is the coldness of death. The babies mother is dead. The father's feelings are mixed between inexplicable joy and endless sadness. But the father's wish is granted! He has always wanted a daughter of his own to love. He names her Cara, which means "beloved." This is a perfect name for her considering her loved presence on earth by her father. But unfortunately, an evil spirit comes to the hospital that night, and steals Cara and the father. Over the next ten years, the evil spirit gives Cara powers and teaches her to use them. These powers allow Cara to shapeshift into any animal, or make plants grow. On Cara's tenth birthday, the spirit decides this child is ready to become her next victim, and endure the loss of her love.
