A/N: So really quickly I just wanna say that this is a reader x Bilbo story, but I am going to be writing this in first person and I will be giving you a name. I might even give a slight description of looks but I want this to mostly be a Bilbo x reader. If you don't like the name then sorry and just imagine that it's your own.

Nyla's POV

Tears drip down my eyes as I rip the hideous white dress off of my body, the dress that I once thought was so beautiful and pure. But now all I thought of it was hatred and disgust. Love that's born from lies is nothing even close to love, it's betrayal. That's exactly what Evrend did to me.

I rush to my closet knowing that I don't have much time and that I have to leave now. I frantically change into a pair of black pants, a green shirt with loose long sleeves and a black leather vest which I lace up for a little bit of protection. Then I put on a pair of dark brown leather boots that go half way up my shins weaving their laces and tying them off tightly. Grabbing a green cloak and I button it over my body, and slip my arms through the arm holes.

Now ready I hastily walk out to my balcony that's just to the right of me, and jump off turning into several petals that float in the wind to the next balcony over. To his balcony. I land on top of it and transform back into my human form. It's always exhausting using magic, that's why Nymphs aren't supposed to very often. His curtains are closed but I ignore them and walk right through into his room. That's when I see it, his sword made from the purist of metals. It is a very elegant and noble sword for such a dishonorable elf. It was his pride and joy. So naturally I just a had to steal it, after all he had broken a promise that was supposed to be eternal. A sword is nothing compared to an eternity.

I run out of the balcony and transform once again into pink flower petals and flow in the wind towards the stables. When I land I rush to my horse who has dark brown hair, a long flowy main, and tail. My trusty steed Lady.

Tears no longer paint my face, for it seems as if all my emotions have been put into running away, and getting as far away from him as possible. With not a hint of sadness or hatred left. It was supposed to have started by now, I have to hurry before they know that I'm gone. I quickly tie my hair back in a ponytail and pull my hood over my head, pulling myself on top of Lady's saddle, which was already put on her for after the ceremony. We then race out of the stables and are on the way out of Rivendale.

Every pathway is empty for the very important wedding that I will not be attending for reasons concerning cheaters and mistresses. I'm just barley about to exit Rivendale, to my freedom when I nearly run over an old man with a pointy hat, long beard, and a wooden staff. Lady stops frantically with a sudden jerk causing me to fall off hitting the hard ground, as pain jolts through my back. I jump up apologizing through the pain, "I'm so sorry sir, I didn't see you. Please forgive me."

He smiles and says, " No harm is done I am just fine. Although I bet that you're going to feel that fall tomorrow."

He walks over to me offering me his hand I take it gratefully saying, "I'm terribly sorry for everything, but I'm afraid that I best be on my way then. I have a very importan-."

"I know very well what you are running away from dear Nyla," he interrupts me and says in a calm voice with a smirk on his face. Of course he knows who I am. After all, the elves pride themselves on housing the only know nymph in Middle-Earth. Its strange really, that my existence brings them pride. You don't have time for this Nyla you have to go.

"You couldn't possibly understand why I'm running away," I reply.

"You're right I don't know why, but it must be for a good reason. I want to help you Nyla, and in return you will one day you help me. My name is Gandalf and twenty two days from now you will find your escape within the Trollshaws of Eriador. Now I must leave, for I have a wedding to attend." He winks at me after his last sentence.

"Thank you," I reply in a soft but meaningful voice. I get back on Lady, and head off into the forest towards the Trollshaws. Something about Gandalf makes my believe him, I just don't know what.

21 Days later

It's been twenty one days of hiding from the elves in the Trollshaws, and quite frankly I'm getting sick of having to hide from all the trolls as well. I mean constantly transforming into a tree is exhausting, I can't wait for this to be over with. Having to let Lady go was tough, it's much to dangerous for her in the forest, and I've been through so much with her. Although I'm very grateful for my time spent here, I have come to realize that I never did love Evrend, I just loved the people who wanted me to marry him.

I perk up at the sound of leaves crunching in the forest and I can hear footsteps, no not footsteps, horse strides that are only couple of yards away. Quickly I grab my back pack, that I bought along the way with other necessities from a market. I then jump up into the tree above me using a slight breeze to boost me. Landing smoothly on a branch I hear a masculine and raspy voice, "Where did all that wind come from?" Just as they finished their sentence a dwarf on a pony came into my sight. Dwarves? What are they doing here? Could they be my escape that Gandalf was talking about? No it's a day too early. Twelve more dwarfs on ponies walked by, along with a hobbit. Now why would a Hobbit be in this forest, that's the real question.

"It's just mother nature Ori, don't get all worked up over nothin," a different dwarf replied.

"I ain't worked up, just a little confused. That's all."

"He's right keep an eye out, I have a strange feeling about this place. Where's that Wizard when we need him?" another strongly built dwarf said in a commanding voice that was deep and serious. My eyes wonder to the hobbit with a head of curly brown hair who is looking around in concern. Should I go out there and introduce myself? No the elves have a high bounty for their precious lost nymph. They very well could be bounty hunters.

I stay hidden and jump from tree to tree as they ride on, making sure to be quiet using air to help silence my landings. They keep moving forward and I can't help but look back at the hobbit. He looks so distant from everybody else, like he doesn't fit in. My thoughts distract me and while I try to land onto another tree and my foot slips. I suddenly fall off the branch hitting the ground with a big thud. Frantically I try to transform into a tree, but my magic is too exhausted from using it in the trees. Instead I scramble to my feet and run into the forest. "Hey who's there!" the serious one yells out. I start to panic. Oh no they've seen me! A stag swiftly but suddenly comes trotting past me into the view of the dwarfs and briskly passes them. I pull myself behind a tree and hold my breath.

One of the dwarves comments, "It's just a stag Thorin." I take a deep breath and look out into the forest knowing that it sent that stag to save me. But why?

"Right well it's getting dark, we'll set up camp here," the dwarf called Thorin states with a skeptical voice.

"Hey Bilbo next time don't let the stag run you over!" another one of the dwarves teases and the rest laugh.

I peer around the tree to see the hobbit had fallen off of his pony, "I-I was just caught off guard a little that's all," he states in shock from the fall. So that's his name, Bilbo. He turns his head and looks directly at me, for a second I thought that he had seen me. But he then turns his head to where the stag went. As if he were looking for where it came from, and then joins the dwarves in setting up their camp. Slowly I make my way to a tall tree that I climb. It's just above their camp perfect for me to hide in it's thick leaves and watch them without being caught. I just can't help but let my eyes wonder to the hobbit, Bilbo. There's just something about him that's different...

A/N: Hey there so this is the first chapter, another one will be out soon. I hoped you liked it. Also just a little bit of IMPORANT INFO: Nyla is a nymph who can turn into any plant, and she can manipulate the air/wind because it is her individual power as a forest nymph. But, she can only use her powers to an extent before her magic becomes exhausted and has to, you could say, recharge. Thanks for reading, and make sure to look out for the new chapter!
