Ding!.. Ding!.. Ding!.. The annoying clock on the brick wall of this small café struck 8:30 p.m. signalling it was time to close.I made my way to the door, flipping the sign in the window from open to closed. When I opened the door, the cold winter air hit me like a speeding truck hitting a deer on the open road making me shiver, pulling my coat tighter across my bare chest.
I locked the door and set sail for home. I didn't own a car nor had my license to drive; therefore I had to walk. This didn't really bother me because it was a short walk across a corn field to my house.
Half way across the field I heard a voice screaming for me to stop. The scream was bloody murder to my ears. "Don't move!" Shouted the mysterious deep voice of a man in the distance. I stopped in my tracks, turning slowly on my heels, seeing a tall, dark figure with broad shoulders standing there holding up a gun in my direction. Putting my hands up in surrender, I took a sharp breath in thinking that this was it, I was going to die.
This will be the last time I see my mom and dad. For me being their only child, they will have no one to take care of other than themselves like the time we went to the park, I was 9 and I tripped and fell, scraping my knee. Mom rushed to my side as dad ran to the car to grab a bandaid from the first aid kit in the glove department. All they'll have left of me are the memories we shared as a family. As I came back to reality I tried to say something, anything but I couldn't find my voice, it was lost like my new tribal print tie-dyed t-shirt I got about a week ago. At least I wouldn't have to come up with an excuse to my parents about it.
As a first instinct, I thought to stay still and follow his instructions but I ran instead, for some reason I thought I actually had a chance of surviving without being kidnapped by this man, but all hopes failed after I heard the sound of a gun being triggered. My heart beat would have gotten pulled over and given a ticket for speeding so fast.
Within seconds of the sound I felt a sharp pain in my upper back causing me to fall to the ground with a piercing pain to my back as I hit the floor. I laid there on the cold hard ground looking up at the man all in black before I blacked out from loss of blood. I laid there lifeless with nobody aware of this current situation. Goodbye mom, goodbye dad, goodbye world. I promise to watch over and protect you in times of need.
I lov...
