Okay, scratch what he said last time. All was absolutely not right in Shu's world.
Shu thought that the Luinorian White Tyrant would cause no issue, but boy was he wrong. It all started when he woke up the next morning in Valtryek's royal palace.
Shu opened his eyes to be momentarily blinded by the glistening rays of sunlight filtering through the window of the bedroom. He looked around the room and saw some slightly un-familiar royal-blue wallpaper and furniture. He looked back up to the ceiling and saw a chandelier with more sapphires and a few rubies embedded in sparkling silver. He wondered for a few moments where he was but then remembered that he was in his temporary bedroom in Valt's palace. He rubbed his eyes and got up to get ready. He was walking toward the bathroom to get ready when he remembered yesterday's events. His mind wandered to the amethyst-eyed prince of Luinor and wondered if he really is as menacing as he looks. He then scolded himself for overthinking that topic too much for he is just a single guy. What big of an effect could he have on him anyway? He decided to shake it off and ponder about that when the day comes.
He stumbled to the large hazel-colored closet, still half-asleep, and pulled out some clothes. He reluctantly trudged to the bathroom to get ready. He changed out of his night-wear and put on some formal robes. He slipped on his usual cream-colored silky long-sleeves, pants of the same kind, and a crimson overcoat which back reached his mid-thigh with golden embroidery and gold buttons, a black leather belt around his waist, and black leather boots. He brushed the bed-head out of his snowy-white locks and put on his usual simple-yet-elegant gold crown embedded with rubies. He looked at himself in the mirror one more time, decided he looked descent, and went out of his room to be met with servants going in and out of the rooms, kitchens, and quarters all over the castle. He roamed around the castle's countless halls and corridors, dodging servants at the same time, and reached a massive door which led to the main meeting room.
He opened up the doors and his eyes scanned the massive room to see his family, the other royal families, and a few guards but that's not the important part. As soon as he stepped in, a chill was sent up his spine as he felt the cold, eerie tension in the air. He walked towards the other princes and his older brother and found them with faces of all three features of calm, cheery, and confounded. Even Zac's never-ending million-drachma smile slightly faltered.
"Good morning, guys." Shu chimed. He was met with multiple other 'hi's, 'hello's, and 'good morning's."Oh good morning, Shooting Star." Zac said calmly. Now that really bothered Shu, for he knows that Zac's enthusiasm hardly ever falters unless there's a serious matter at hand. That was the first sign. He walked to his best friend the Wonder Boy himself, Valt Aoi, and greeted him.
"Hey Valt, how's it going?" Shu asked. Valt turned to face him, the corners of his lips curling into a smile.
"Oh hey buddy, good to see you." Valt replied as he just smiled at him and said everything's alright. That left Shu confounded for Valt didn't tackle him in his usual oxygen-depriving hug he gets every time they see each other. He looked into the bluenette's eyes and saw the usual mischevous glint, but a faint glimmer of worry in them. That was the second sign. He then walked to his older brother Hiroto for confirmation of his suspicions and for answers."Hey nii-san, why's everyone acting so tense?" He asked. His brother just gestured to a few papers on the table as if they were the answer to everything that was being questioned in life. It may not be the answer to life but...
"Those papers came in today. But they're not just papers, they're letters. From Luinor." Hiroto said. Shu's eyes widened in shock and worry as he eyes the opened parchments on the solid marble table. He thought regular letters were concerning enough, but those letters coming from Luinor? That shook him like an Earthling Mexican to his maracas. Now that's the third sign.
