One last sunset

Closing the window, I left out the cold breath of that wind which was now knocking.
"Won't take long" said I.
I wore my coat and scarf, then went out.
Winter whispered to my ears, as I took Lion Street.
"Why so early this year?" I asked myself.
I looked up to the foggy sky that's always been my companion. It was trying to tell me, but humans are deaf to mother nature's voice. Thoughts took over, and I remembered youth's conquests and mistakes. As I kept walking, ashamed of my former self, sunshine almost blinded me. I challenged our bright guardian with my eyes, and I found out that, that day, there were two of them.
"Is it my sight, or maybe sanity, that fails me?"
There was no time to go back and take sunglasses, so I kept walking my foolish road.
