Season 01, episode 01: Wolf Moon

"What do you think?"

Delilah Lee stood in front of her body-long mirror admiring her black floral dress that flowed gracefully just above her knees. Her red headed friend, otherwise known as Lydia Martin, sat on the end of her bed, gazing at the 5'7 girl standing in front of her.

"You look great in everything Lilah. You need to wear that tomorrow."

Delilah slightly nodded her head, saying yes, as she got changed back into her cosy grey sweatpants and hoodie, her light brown hair comfortably displayed over her shoulders. Lydia invited herself over since Lilah's aunt madeleine was out on a date, leaving the two girls to have the house to their selves.

"Oh, come on, Lilah, you have to pick out some shoes"

Delilah watched as her best friend inspected her shoe drawer, Lydia noticing that there was a massive lack of shoes. "We're going shopping this weekend, you have no shoes. You can borrow some of mine for tomorrow." she commented bluntly.

Lydia and Delilah had been best friends ever since Lilah, Scott, and Stiles fell apart, in 7th grade. Lilah found comfort in Lydia even though they are complete opposites. Now, they do everything together, and as much as Delilah misses Scott and Stiles, Lydia fills that gaping hole in her heart.

A phone notification echoes around Lilah's cosy bedroom, making Lydia look down in her hands.

"Sorry Lils, Jackson wants me I've gotta go, remember we meet at the front of the school tomorrow at 7:30am" rushing out of the room, Lydia briskly pecks Delilah on the cheek, to go meet her boyfriend.

In Delilah's opinion, she doesn't like Jackson. He doesn't treat Lydia right and Lilah wishes that Lydia would see that and find someone else but she won't. Delilah doesn't hate Jackson, she doesn't hate many people, but she gets this uneasy feeling around him. Almost scared. Jackson reciprocates that feeling since he doesn't like Lilah. He thinks that she's doing something because how can one teenage girl be that nice and happy. He thinks it's not possible.

"Bye Lyds, love you." the two best friends wave each other goodbye as Lilah flops onto her bed, thinking about everything.

Thinking about school. What she'll have for breakfast tomorrow morning. Worrying. And Scott. He was always on her mind. She never talked to him at school anymore because, in Lydia's words, 'he's not worth wasting time thinking about when you can do more important things. Like shopping!' But Lilah never listened because all she thought about was him.

As Lilah lay in her sorrows, a knock filled her ears so she perked up to see her Aunt Madeleine.

"Hey honey, how are you feeling? Excited for the first day tomorrow?" Her Aunt Madeleine was a kind spirit. She was gorgeous and so kind, but she is out quite a lot. After the accident with her family several years ago, Lilah seems to find herself overly connect with people. She becomes dependent on them. And one of those people is her Aunt.

They shared a wholesome bond. Most of the time Lilah would pretend she was her mom just to remember what it feels like to have one.

"You know me, just overthinking and worrying. But yeah I'm sure it'll be fine." Lilah bit the inside of her cheeks, a common thing she does when anxious.

Madeleine went over to sit on the edge of her nieces' bed. "Darling, you're going to be alright, okay? You're a gorgeous, smart girl and I know that you're going to be great," she softly kissed her nieces' forehead and stood up, "get a good nights sleep and everything will be alright."

"Wait, Maddy. How was your date?" Lilah questioned. "Another fail, don't worry baby, I'll find someone eventually." Madeleine blew Lilah a kiss and walked out of the room, turning off the lights.
