The rain continues to poor as thunder rumbled in the distance. No one dared to walk on the streets. No one, other than a young girl. her brown curls were plastered to her back and her eyes were red and puffy. Michelle had been crying. Her parents never came to pick her up from dance class and now she had to walk home. If she could find it, that is.
"Where is mommy?" She sobbed, shivering. "Where did she go?" She continued walking, passing apartments, illuminated with lights. She sighed. How she wished to be back home with her mother and father. Were they even worried about her? She found a dark allyway and unwillingly walked into it. Wet trash squished under her feet as she stomped on the pavement. Suddenly, her foot slipped. Down she fell with a bang on the pavement.
"Ow!" She cried, rubbing her forhead. Michelle looked up to see an open window woth a bright green light shining through it. Curiose, she crawled towards it. Michelle poked her head through the window and saw a long desk with several stuffed animals atop of it. She reached out to try a grab one of the stuff animals but fell through the window. She landed on her bottom, wincing in pain as she stood up. Michelle took a rabbit stuffed animal and then left the office. She walked down the narrow hallway, marveling at the child's artwrk that lined the walls.
"What is this place?" She wondered. She heard whisling and stopped. A man was walking towards her, happily humming to himself. Adrenalin rushed into Michelle's body and she darted into the closest doorway. Her mother had taught her the dangers of stranger and she knew right away what to do when she saw one. She sucked in a deep breath and listened as the man's footsteps, shuffled away.
"Phew." She sighed and looked up. Her eyes widened in amazement. The room was huge and had a few childrens' artwork scattered on the walls. A tall metal table sat in the center and had a toolkit a top it. Michelle giggled with joy. She loved working with tools, like hammers and screwdrivers. Hopefully, no one would mind if she played with it for a little bit. She stood on her tip toes and reached out to grab the toolbox. Once she obtained it, she immediately dug around for the hammer, her favorite tool.
"Hmm." she thought, looking around the room. "Let's see what I can fix." She ran around the room tapping on object with her hammer to fix them. One of these objects was a lump covered in a dull, white sheet. She tapped on it, and giggled.
"There." she laughed. "Now you are fixed." With that, she skipped away. The lump, soon, began to rattle, the sheet sliding off to reveal a withered animatronic. Michelle screamed and ran out of the room. The animatronic slowly stood up and stomped after her.
"AAIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE! It screeched. Michelle ran down the hallway and turned the corner. There was another hallway, but it was a dead end.
"No no no!" She cried, pushing at the wall. "Please, don't do this." The animatronic crept towards her, flashing his twisted grin.
"D-o-n'- t y-o-u c-r-y, n-o-w, l-i-t-t-l-e o-n-e." His disembodied voice croaked. He wiped a tear from her eye. Michelle shivered in fear. "W-h-y, y-o-u g-a-v-e S-p-r-i-n-g-T-r-a-p e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g h-e e-v-e-r w-a-n-t-e-d."
