Kyle: It was a friday and god were we excited! For the first time the 3 amigos were going camping and we were so ready to escape all of the shitty aspects of school and get lost in the endless forests. Once that clock hit 3:00 us three freshmen packed up our stuff and headed out with Oscar and his family for a damn good 3 day weekend. Man were me and Josh in for a world of white boy hazing.
Oscar comes from an all mexican family, and an extremely...extremely fucking huge one at that. Me being the white cracker I am and josh being half Mexican but looking like he was born in an Ambercrombi store were not prepared for the amount of jokes to come.
Arriving at the camp site was tight. It was and escape from the heat and stress and a gateway to perfect weather and goodtimes.
Once we pitch tents the three of us hop on bikes and go explore around the shadey camp site which smells like straight pine. After riding around for awhile we hit the beach and all just pop a squat and take it all in. Man I rember that moment real clearly, just vibing listing to Worst Guys by Gambino. That was a realization on that the weekend was going to be golden.
A couple nights later I remember the three of us and Oscar cousin Jorge going down to the beach. Man it was beautiful. That was definitely the most stars I had ever seen at one time. Hanging with my closet friends smoking on a gummi bear vape was an unforgettable zen.
Josh: okay let me just break this down for all you readers out there...at this point, I was the vibe killer in the group. I hadn't been very adventurous yet...plese note the use of the word YET. All I knew at this point was I wanted to let go and connect with nature. I mean I was willing to fuck a turtle if that's what it came to. But thats beside the point. Now over the past 16 years of my life, I can ausre you that i have met some straight up crazy mexican families. So trust me when I tell you that oscars family takes the cake. I mean we woke up to marrichi music at 5:00 am every fucking morning bro. Words can not describe how big of a culture shock it was. Im half mexican as it is, and I still wasnt prepared...I felt so bad for kyle. He is about as white as it gets. The food was good though...
