As the week went on Y/N became more and more distant from the team. They tried to help but she would always brush them off telling them she was okay when she obviously wasn't. Friday night the team went out, they invited Y/N but she turned down the offer. It was 12am and they had just returned back home. She was in her room when she heard shuffling by her door and giggles. Her door swung open revealing a very drunk Wanda and Sam.
"Y/N!!!!" They said in unison stumbling into her room.
She laughed at their obvious intoxicated state.
"Hi. I guess you guys had a good night?"
"We had a blast! Oh my god! We saw this girl and she was wearing this really nice sweater and it was so adorable! It had... what did it have?" Sam said slurring his words.
"There were flowers on it!" Wanda shouted.
"That's right flowers!"
"There you guys are!" Natasha said grabbing the two by the hands.
"What did we talk about. No bothering Y/N when we got home. Sorry!" She said giving her a apologetic look.
"Its okay." She chuckled.
Natasha took the two away leaving Y/N to sleep in peace.

But, Y/N's sleep was anything but peaceful. She was too anxious to go to sleep, worried she might wake up and be back with Randall. A couple hours of tossing and turning later, she sat up getting out of bed to go get water.
On her way back from the kitchen she passed Bucky's room and saw that a light was still on. It was 2am why was he still up? She knocked on the door curious what was keeping him up. There was rustling before the door opened up.
"Y/N?" Bucky was surprised by her presence.
"Hey. I saw your light on just wanted to see why you were up still..."
"Oh yeah I was just up reading."
She leaned to the side and saw the book. She smiled to herself.
"Moby Dick?" She looked up at him, remembering the first time they met.
He chuckled.
"Yeah... haven't read it in a while thought i'd start up again."
"...would you like to join me?" He asked hesitantly.
"I'd like that." She said nodding her head. He moved to the side so she could enter. She took a seat on his bed and he sat next to her. After getting comfortable he started reading again. Her eyes followed the words as he spoke.

It was now 4am. The two had stayed up reading the book. They had fallen asleep before they could finish the last page. Y/N cuddled up to Bucky. Not accidentally, but on purpose. They both had an understanding that the other one was going through a rough time and them being near each other helped. Y/N felt safe in his arms, like nothing could hurt her. For the first time in 2 months she fell asleep and didn't have a nightmare. It was amazing. When the two awoke the next morning they stayed in each other's arms for a bit before getting up and getting ready for the day. They didn't speak. They didn't need to. They both felt comfortable in the moment. Safe. Happy.
