Thalia report to the throne room words I don't normally hear nobody ever calls me to the throne room. My stepmother completely hates me she says me and my brother are scum. Because we are not her children we were born to Susan Grace she was a peasant and my father was the prince going to be king they married but she died of a terrible accident when I was seven years old and Jason was six we never really got to know her but my dad says she was amazing he still loves her and that's why my stepmom is jealous .I don't care though I don't like her either her name is Hera and we don't get along we butt heads all the time . Since I was seven and my mom died my dad has been training me like I was one of the knights I am eighteen years old now and I can beat any man or boy that steps in the arena my stepmom say that a women should not fight she should be proper and have good manners but am the opposite I can even beat my sixteen year old brother Jason and he is the best of the best. Tonight there is going to be a ball celebrating my birthday that was a month ago but it never to late I guess. Right know I am putting my hair into a fancy up do I already had me dress on it was electric blue and black lace over it all it was beautiful even thought I hate dresses this one was ok I had a black chain electric blue diamond necklace and earrings on oh and by my request the party is masquerade ball good I don't like when ever people stare at me I feel awkward my make up was simple I used eyeliner black eye shadow which made my electric blue eyes pop out I put on my mask and walked out of my room its time . As soon as I dot there I saw Jason with his girlfriend piper she was a the princess of love land daughter of Aphrodite and Tristan McLean . Talking to Jason was prince percy of atlantis with his girlfriend one of my best friends Anabeth of Athens. I saw prince frank of warington and his fiancé hazel she was a very nice girl but she was young she has a brother but I don't know his name and they have different moms because her mother was accused of being a witch and burned they could never prove it but she was killed when hazel was young I don't think she ever really knew her but all I know is that her father hades of styx him and my dad are rivals don't know why I don't think they know either but she is fine with my family now because she is marrying frank . As I was walking down the grand staircase when I saw him in a full black tux with a gray undershirt a nd black bow tie and a black mask he had raven black hair and olive colored skin he looked right at me and I noticed his beautiful obsidian eyes but before I could go talk to him my father pulled me aside to talk to someone he told me that his name is Luke castellan prince of Adidas he was attractive but not my type he had a wicked looking scar on the side of his face stretching from the bottom of his eye to his chin he hade blue eyes and blonde hair he looks cocky I hate that type of guy. But I have to put on a smile and talk to him I mean maybe he is nice but I don't think so because I am good at reading people. He introduced himself even though father already told me who he was." Your highness pleasure to meet you, you look beautiful." I had to be nice but for me that's hard for me . " thank you nice to meet you" . We talked for a while and the more he spoke the more I despised him. Especially when he asked me about my hobbies I told him that I like to ride horse , shoot a bow and arrow real well, my favorite thing to do is sword fight I am the best in the kingdom I can out beat all the knights and my brother . He responded with a girl should not learn to fight the only thing a girl should do is cook clean and bare children and only male heirs and to always please their husbands. I asked him what if it is a girl he said that he would not love her and she would not be ruler even over his dead body. That mad me so angry heck if I was not wearing a huge ball gown I would kick his butt all the way back to his kingdom. So to keep things civilized and to keep from maiming him I had to step out side . I escaped to the garden normally I don't do girly things but that is my favorite escape place to go to it is where my mother took me and Jason on a sunny day we would go out there and play while mother sat on the bench watching us. I don't normally talk about her but she was beautiful she had long blonde hair and sky blue eyes with porcelain skin she was wonderful then she passed I was to young then to understand but I do know it was hard on dad he still grieves for her. All of the sudden I heard soft foot print approach if it was Luke he was going to get an ear full so I let the person know that I was not in the mood for their company right now. Then came this voice it was so marvelous it was as if an angle was speaking to me. He said "what is a beautiful woman like you doing out here alone when everyone else is in there dancing ." I told him that I had to take a walk to clear my head and this is such a peaceful place so here I am. We could hear the music know and so he bowed and said "may I have this dance milady" I thought sure why not but said of course to sound more proper . we started to waltz around the garden it was the best feeling in the world I felt like I was on cloud nine he was a smooth dancer . when the music ended we both bowed/ curtsey and then he smiled at me wide all the smile went all the way to his beautiful obsidian eye I totally felt like I was malting ugh what is this feeling I have never felt it before could it be love. I decided I might want to introduce myself I said hi name is ...when he interrupted me Thalia Grace the future queen of Olympia . Yes that me but I still don't your name he said Oh I am Nico Di Angelo prince of styx . Like I said earlier our families are rivals so this could be bad but what is the worst that could happen by just talking to him but our meeting was cut short by none other than Luke yelling my name . I thought quick and told Nico to hide and shoved him behind the rose bush. then Luke came around the corner and told me that my father was looking for because I ran off that there was more we had to discus. So I told him I would be in in a few sminutes he asked if I wanted him to wait I said no I am a big girl I can walk back myself. As soon as he was gone Nico came back out into the open I did the only thing my heart was telling me and kissed him I told him to meet me back out here in the gardens after the ball he said 2he couldn't wait to see my face again. the rest of the night went by in a blur of music and Lukes never ending talking boring.
