Another first day of school. How many more times was I going to repeat this all over again? New school every year—I was sure I was at my sixth one by now. I mean, I'm not complaining, it's not like I have anything better to do. My grades are already outstanding in every way, so my education isn't an issue for me.
I wondered what my plan was for this year—and at this school. You see, every time I go somewhere else, I stir up a bit of something and see the reactions explode around me. To be honest, it's quite harsh and mean the more I think about it, but it's a ritual I must follow at this point, and I'm sure my parents wouldn't stop me. They don't care enough for that. and if they found out half of what I had done, I would be finished a long time ago is all I can say.
"Baymount High," I whispered under my breath as students pile in through every entryway. Girls high pitch laughing, and the guys' low, deep cheers is all I can hear. But what can I see? I can see a boy jump off a jeep and land on his friend, a guy standing way too close to the edge of the roof, a girl sitting alone on a bench, looking far too sad on the first day of school, and a boy jump off a motorcycle, helping his lady friend off the back. "This is going to be fun," I smirk, before replacing it with a genuine smile on my face.
I ran a hand through my locks before knocking on the door of a classroom. I wasn't too sure if I was at the right room or not, because I left the paper at home. But once a slender woman with pretty eyes opened the door with glee, I figured I was in the right place.
"Oh, you must be the new student we have, come in, sweetheart." She smiled with a seductive look to her, but I was sure that's just how she looks. I shot her a charming smile as I walked into the room, all eyes on me, just how I expected.
"Everyone, can I have your attention please?" the woman began, "This," she started again, this time pointing at me, "is your new classmate, Samson. Please treat him with respect and show him around if needed," she stopped then turned to face me, her eyes glowed as she did so, "you can sit anywhere you like." And I did. I sat at the back next to someone I recognised from before, the girl that I saw earlier who looked "far too sad" for the first day of school. She looked at me like I was a jewel shed been trying to capture her whole life. "Uhm, hi." She whispered out, moving her hand in a small motion. "Hi, I'm Sam, what's your name, pretty?" I smiled genuinely. I wasn't lying about the pretty part. A girl with tears in her eyes is always something I like to see. "Leyanne, I'm Leyanne." She smiled, the tears staring to dry upon her face. It was a shame really.
The lady started to babble on again until the homeroom finished really. I was just excited to see how far I could go with my plan, which I still hadn't figured out yet. Just as the thought came back to me, the bell sounded, and the loud voices of students refilled my ears.

A soft grin grew upon my face. I can't deny that I'd always been a "boy crazy" kind of girl, yes, being focused on my work was imperative and my top priority, but thinking a guy is attractive is inevitable and couldn't be avoided. But unluckily for me, there were only a few hotties in our school. For example, the entirety of the football team. It's mostly full of the most top tier guys you could lay your eyes on—in school at least. And they consisted of, Tyrone, James, Cole, Adrian and Prescott. They were the main boys everyone wanted, so I didn't want to get myself involved in that whatsoever.
Moving onto the new boy. His name was Samson, Samson Brandent. Mrs Smith said he preferred to go by Sam. Not much was said about him through the mouth of Mrs Smith, but she said to make him feel welcome and all of that.
I started to wonder what kind of person he was. If he liked to read, like me, liked to get top grades all the time, like me—in fact, I was just hoping he was just like me so I could secure him for myself. But that's greedy, so I shouldn't. But I couldn't shake the thought.
"He's something you can look forward to," Willow, my best friend of many years nudged me with a smirk. "That's exactly what I was just thinking."
I had Maths. The worst of them all, but it was best to get it out of the way first period, and plus, I was sure it would be more enjoyable if I had a bit of eye candy in my class. I tucked a stray piece of hair that had come out of my low ponytail behind my ear as I walked towards my class. I was sure most of the class would be the same as this particular maths class is hard. You need top grades to get into it, like mine. The lights flickered on as students rummaged past me rudely, eager to be the first ones to their seats. This was just how people were, especially in this class. Full of teacher's pets and people who believe they're smarter than everyone else in the room. It's a drag to be in here sometimes, but I'm not going to sit around and pretend, and I haven't thought the same thing more than once.
I scanned over the room as everyone flooded in as I strolled in slowly with my arms behind my back. I wiggled my fingers nervously to see if I couldn't recognise someone in the room, dying to know if the new boy, Sam was in my class.
There was one boy who crossed my eyes, and I didn't recognise him, and I couldn't miss. And it seemed like nobody else missed him either.
His hair was jet black, which flew in the subtle breeze. He had that cute, submissive kind of look to him. Like he wouldn't even hurt a fly. His eyes were big and round pale, curious and an inquisitive shade of green. His smile, small and pouty was authentic and as pristine as a golden flake. His left dimple popped into sight as he smiled at me once noticing my never-ending stare. His skin looked like a fresh jar of honey; golden. His eyebrows were perfect and symmetrical, and his unorganised beauty spots made his face more pleasing to look at.
What? I know that was an extensive description, but that's just how you sound when you get an A in English. I had unquestionable fallen in love with this boy, as well as the rest of the room.
"Miss Campbell? Are you going to take your seat or are we just going to wait for you all day, huh?" the teacher glared at me. I didn't even realise I was still standing. I broke eye contact with Sam and apologised to my teacher, "Sorry, Miss." She pointed to where I was sitting, and I couldn't help but nearly pass out. Sam, next to Sam it was! Well, not really it was 1 seat away from him, but it was close enough.
I awkwardly took my seat whilst everyone didn't bother to look at me for once and just had their eyes on Sam creepily. Even some of the jocks at the back of class had their eyes on him. Which didn't hit me until later, why were they even in this class? I was positive they were not top class maths materials.
But don't judge a book by its cover. You never know the truth until you read on.
