ANDREA'S POV
September 7th, 2013 was the beginning. I was going into the 7th grade and I didn't have good friends. We fought all the time and it drove me insane. I needed a change. I decided to sit at a new lunch table with some new people, and old. The first day I sat with 5 other girls; Maria, Sandy, Linny, Antonia and Izzy. Instantly, I knew we were gonna be friends. At first my old friends and my new friends all hung out as a big group, but eventually we grew apart. My new friends and I started to hangout by ourselves and soon didn't really even talk to the other group.
My seventh grade year was the best year of my life. My friends and I never fought, ever. We realized that we were the luckiest people in the world. No one understood us; how we always got along, our sense of humor, and how much we cared about each other. Although we weren't the most popular, we certainly weren't losers. We didn't get invited to most of the parties but we didn't care, most of the time.
On June 9, my brother, John, was diagnosed with leukemia. It was devastating news when we first heard. My friends made my life so much better because they supported my family and I so much. They took care of me and my sister, Lauren the whole summer. They took us everywhere. I knew it was gonna be one of the best summers ever!
