Moving On

Save my Baby!

All of a sudden, I could hear Zoe's breathing go funny.

"Emily Emily help!! Something's wrong with Zoe, she can't breathe!" I said starting to cry.

"Carys, can you step outside please? Just because you aren't family!" Amber said taking her out of the room.

"Someone find out what's wrong with my baby!"

"Don't worry Janette, she's going to be okay!" Aljaz said hugging me tightly and wiping away my tears. "If she's anything like her Mother, she's a little fighter, she'll be okay!"

"We'll place her in an incubator, just to help her breathe, it could be because she was lying funny on your chest and she couldn't catch her breath properly, she'll be fine Janette, don't you worry!" Amber said wheeling her away to intensive care.

"Help...my...baby!" I said starting to feel dizzy.

"Janette, breathe, take it easy, we don't want you fainting as well!" My Mum said trying to calm me down.

"Once we get her settled you can go and see her." Emily said.

"Emily, how did this happen? She was perfectly fine a while ago, how does she suddenly fall ill like that?"

"As I said it could have been the way she was lying on Janette's chest, and she just couldn't catch her breath. Once she's been in the incubator for a while she should be back to normal."

"You can come and see her now." Amber said putting her head around the door.

"Can we get a wheelchair for Janette, since she can't walk right now."

"Of course, here we are."

I was wheeled into the intensive care unit, and I broke down in tears when I saw my little girl hooked up to all these different machines.

"Oh darling, I'm so sorry if I did something to make you unwell."

"Janette don't be silly; this isn't your fault!"

"She's going to be fine; we've ran all the necessary tests and she's completely fine. Don't let her lie on her stomach for a while, we think that's why she couldn't breathe earlier on. We'll keep her in the incubator overnight and then you can both go home! You'll be happy to hear that Janette!"

"I'm delighted, I can't wait to get my little girl home!" I said with the biggest smile on my face.

A couple of days later I finally got to take Zoe home and she was staying there! I wasn't letting her out of my sight ever again!

"Welcome home sweetheart!" I said bringing her into her room. I absolutely loved her room, Aljaz and I had decorated it just the way I wanted it. I sat down in the rocking chair and rocked Zoe to sleep and immediately placed her in the cot on her back so that I knew she would be able to breathe.

"I knew you were going to be an amazing Mum, Janette!" Aljaz said kissing me and shutting Zoe's door.

"We're the perfect little family now! I wish she could stay little forever!"

"Nope now the hard work starts!"

"As I said when she was born, I don't care about the hard work! I'm just so happy she's finally here!" I quietly walked into her room and watched her as she slept. I was so happy she was here, and I never wanted to let her go!

A/N That's the end of this story and the end of this Trilogy! I have really enjoyed writing these stories! I may start a new Janette and Aljaz fanfic but I don't know where to start yet! 🙈
