Dos

I am just standing in front of Leslie's wardrobe habang hinahanapan niya ako ng damit. The girls who brought their clothes are inside her room chilling. Chai and Leyla, Preschool girls, are inside the bathroom trying the dresses na hihiramin nila kay Leslie. 5:30 PM kami dumating kila Leslie after school dahil dito kami magpeprepare at matutulog like the usual since nasa loob din ng village 'yung bahay nila Leslie. Pero 6:30PM na at wala pa ring napipiling damit si Leslie para sa'kin.

"How about this one?" she asked while showing me a very short lacy black dress. Kumunot agad 'yung noo ko. Maikli na 'yun kay Leslie at dahil mas matangkad ako sa kanya ng kaunti ay halos hindi na 'yun aabot sa kalahati ng hita ko.

"Les, I'm only turning 18 by the end of the September remember? That's too short," I said while shaking my head as a sign of disapproval.

"You know we're trying to make you look mature, hence the outfit and the makeup, because you are illegal." She rolled her eyes at me before going back to her wardrobe. Pumikit ako saglit at nagpray na 'wag sana ako makulong today dahil illegal ako.

"Okay! This one. This one's perfect," she fished another black dress and placed it in front of me while picturing me wearing the dress. The black dress has lacy half sleeves and is a little low at the back but it is long enough to reach more than half of my thighs that's why I agreed. I can see na hinihingal na rin siya kaya okay na 'yun.

Pumunta na ako ng CR para magpalit ng damit. Tinignan ko 'yung sarili ko bago ako lumabas. Kasyang kasya lang 'yung damit sa'kin ni Leslie since halos parehas kami ng size. Mas sexy lang talaga siya sa'kin ng sobra at mas matangkad ako ng konti. Umikot pa ako ng isang beses sa salamin para tignan 'yung likod ko. 'Wag sana ako mapulmunya today dahil sa nakalabas kong likod. After kong magpray na 'wag akong makulong today, lumabas na ako ng CR dahil memake-upan ako ni Leslie.

"Don't make it too thick Les," I pled while seating in front of her vanity wall. Sila Camie kasi nakalip gloss lang dahil may mga salamin at hindi naman daw makikita 'yung eye shadow nila. Tapos 'yung iba pink at peach ang gamit na color. Ako lang 'yung ginagamitan ng smokey eyes at red na lipstick. Nauubos lang naman 'yun lipstick dahil kumakapit sa baso 'pag umiinom ako. O kaya napupunta rin sa cheese stick na kinakain ko sa club.

"Babe, we're trying to make you look older that's why it has to be fierce," she argued while applying foundation on my face.

"Kate, just let her do whatever. Nagugutom na ako," reklamo ni Camie while reading her book. Dadalhin niya kaya yan sa club? The last time we went to a club, nagdala siya ng libro tapos ako taga-hawak ng flashlight para makita niya 'yung binabasa niya. Kaya ang labo labo ng mata nito eh.

After nearly an hour, natapos na rin kami sa pagmemake up at nagpeprepare na sa pagpunta ng dining area para kumain. Paglabas ng room ni Leslie, nakita ko agad si Manang na naglalapag ng kimchi sa lamesa.

"Hello Manang. Kamusta po kayo?" Tanong ko habang lumalapit para magmano.

"Okay naman Katelyn. Upo na kayo at lalabas na rin si Ma'am," Aya niya sa amin bago bumalik ng kusina. Maya maya lang ay narinig na namin 'yung Mommy ni Leslie na lumalabas ng master's bedroom.

"Hi Omma!" We greeted in chorus while waving our hands. She waved back and smiled widely while approaching the table. She then started conversing with Leslie in Korean while we started eating. Every time Leslie points at me, I will just nod and smile at Omma bilang audience participation sa conversation nila.

Hindi ako masyadong kumain dahil baka mapainom ako mamaya, ayokong magsuka. The girls might also be thinking the same thing dahil konti lang din ang kinain nila. I also did not drink a lot because Camie will surely order some juice since she doesn't drink. After resting for a little while, we were already on our way to BGC. Nagbook lang kami ng Grab going to BGC since wala 'yung driver nila Les. Since we are 12, we booked 2 7-seater cars. It took us more than 30 minutes from Makati to BGC because of traffic even though it's already past 10PM.
