I was falling asleep in chemistry as our teacher Mrs Jenkins was droning on about, physics and forces, I studied the window and what was outside, Fall was near and drinking Pumpkin spice lattes, and having candy was wholome to me.
"Y/n!" Mrs Jenkins snapped, My head turned toward her, "what is the Newton's first law?" I looked at her and said "the law of inertia" I smiled at her titing my head slightly "alright miss y/n, but focus more" I nodded rolling my eyes, I started doodling little mushrooms on my book cover, My book was covered in little sketches of movie characters, and plants and other things.
I kept drawing my little sketches in the tiny empty spaces for somewhat satisfaction that did not succeed as I thought I was going to be enveloped with boerdenm, the bell rang. "Alleluia" I whispered under my breath. As I strode out of class I could have sworn Mrs Jenkins glared at me.
As I swayed out of the classroom, Mr Hanscom was standing at the edge of the door. "Y/n" He signaled me to come over to him, I walked over to him "Yes Sir?" "A new student by the name of Sophie Carec has joined Brooksville High, And I was hoping you could show her around" He raised and eyebrow at me expecting an enthusiastic yes out of me, But that was not me. "why me" I croaked "Well Miss Y/n, She will be in grade nine like yourself, and she is attending the same classes as you." He hesitated with the next bit "And the staff and I agreed it would be good for you to socialise, You stopped socialising ever since your mother-" he cut off his sentence knowing that the situation upset me.
