Second day at Cram High School. It's also my birthday, so I guess that's good too. Finally 14 years of age. Guess its cool. I won't get anything, not trying to complain. It happens every year. Johnny always gets brand new things. Me? I get clothes found in dumpsters. Nice, isn't it? My mom came upstairs and apologized from last night. She always says sorry but the same shit happens over again. At least she wished me a happy birthday. It's almost 7:35am. School doesn't start till almost 7:57. Guess I should get ready. I put on a stripped flannel and a pair of my ripped (suppose to be ripped ) jeans. I look kind of good today. It's 7:40, guess I should go. It only takes about 7 minutes to walk there, 3 if I run. I take my time though. I make it in time before the tardy bell. I see Jimmy waiting for me, again. I don't know if I like this kid or not. He seems popular and a prick. I guess I should give him a chance. I've only had a few close friends through my years, but every time I moved they just never understood.

"Hey, Kyler. You've kept me waiting a while." Jimmy says as I approach him.

"Didn't know I had to be here a specific time." I say back, in a snotty attitude.

"Hey, if you want me to show you around, cut the attitude kid." Jimmy snaps back.

"Okay." I say doing a sarcastic chuckle.

This was the first time I've actually gave someone a attitude. Hm. I kind of like it. Then again, at my last kid, I gave a bigger kid a attitude and he beat me up. Hurt like hell. He had at least 110 pounds on me. Im only 124lbs. We make it to Algebra 2. The time went by fast.

It's now lunch. I'll probably sit by myself. Again. I find a empty table and sit down. Im still not very hungry, so I just eat some gold fishes. It's been a boring period. And eerily quiet too. Was something going to happen?

It's the end of the day, on my way. Again, I take my time. It started snowing earlier. It made my day a bit better. I looked up at the sky for a minute and then boom. Something or someone ran into me. I look down and there's a girl, about my age on face down on the ground. I help her to her feet and help pick up her items she dropped.

"I'm so sorry! The sidewalks are slippery and I couldn't stop slipping." the girl says.

"Oh, it's fine. It happens. I'm Kyler." I say after I help her get situated.

"I'm Ella. Do you live around here?" Ella says.

"Yeah. I actually just live down the street from Cram High. I'm new here."

"Oh that's nice. Nice to meet you! I go to Cram High, too. Maybe I'll see you around school?" Ella says in a cheerful voice. I'm trying not to show my 'hots' for you. I mean, she's stunningly beautiful. I've never really talked to a girl in my life, honestly. She had wavy, dark brown hair. Hazel eyes, and the lips of an ang-. What am I saying? She'll never go for a guy like me.

"Oh. Yeah maybe. Nice to meet you too, Ella." I say what feels like ages later.

"Okay! Well I have to go, I have a curfew. If I break it I'll get in big trouble! Talk to you later, okay?" she says with that gorgeous smile.

"Yeah, okay. See ya around."

End of conversation. Or should I say the best conversation? I hope I see her again soon. Maybe this could be a new start. Maybe she could be hope for me. I came home and remember to actually pick up my brother. So, my mom was happy. Actually in a great mood.

"Hey hun. How was your day?" Mom asked me.

"Really good, actually." my reply.

"Make any friends?"

"yeah. A lot. Thanks for asking." I lied. I've made none, unless you count Ella.

"Oh. Well that's good for you."

We had supper later on. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn. My favorite. I went upstairs and took my shower. I got out an hour later. I studied myself in the mirror. I wondered how anyone could like me? My nappy shaggy dark brown hair, my ugly green eyes. Small nose. The only thing good about myself is I try and work out and I have some decent biceps.

I went in my room and sat down. I couldn't sleep at all. I was thinking about Ella. The stunning Ella. The gorgeous Ella. Actually, none of these even fits Ella's look. That's how fascinating beautiful she is.
