Inside my mind, I have this place of wind...
Sunflower grows twice as me, shading the ground from the sun...
There I see someone...
With hair as white as the snow...
With eyes as purple as the evening...
And skin as white as the swan's feather...
I want to know...
Who are you...?
Who are you...?
Who are you...?"WHO ARE YOU?!"
Trittititit..!!
My eyes snapped open. The sound of my eratic breath and digital alarm mixed together and filled the room. 'God... That dream again...' I thought.
I turn off the alarm and lay down on the bed again. "God... Who is he...?" I asked to myself.
I have got this dream frequently. Starting when I got sick a few years ago. It took me a whole month to recover. Every night, I will have that dream. Firstly, I only wandering around the sunflower field. But then he appeared after I wander alone there three times.
Sometimes I would feel like missing him. But that's will be weird, right? It's like I know him for a long time. But my head can't seem to remember.
"Is he someone I've forgotten...? I whispered. I'm staring the ceiling, trying to remember his face. 'But I only seen a half of it. He always look the other way or to the sunflower.' I thought.
I'm flipping my body and burrying my face in the pillow. Inhaling the familiar scent of the sheet and drifted off to sleep. But...
BRAK!
"MY DEAR LITTLE BROTHER IVAN~! IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP~~!"
Ugh. This stupid brother of mine is really annoying!!
"Get off, stupid brother!" I said lazily, hugging my pillow tightly.
This stupid brother of mine, Mikhael Nikolayevich Ivanovski, is a seventh semester college student of Law faculty in Lomonosov Moskow State University. He's 7 years older than me.
OK. OK. I know. He's not stupid. But he's so childish sometimes I would think he isn't a college student but an elementary student instead.
"Aww..., come on, Ivan! Today is Sunday so we should go somewhere!" He said while sulking
I hug my pillow tighter. "Today IS Sunday so I should sleep all day!" I argued. I close my eyes and again drifted off to sleep.
"Hei... You have that dream again?"
His question sent shivers through my body. "..." I didn't answer. Instead, a groan escaped from my lips. I'm sighing heavily. "Who is he?" I asked rettoricaly.
"Hey, do you want to go somewhere particular?" Pjotr asked back. Again, a groan escaped from my lips. But I decide to sit on my bed, and answered.
"Sunflower field."
.
10000 km to the east at the same time in a sunflower field...
.
"You can't answer it again?" Asked a boy with brown hair. The other nod his head. "Even though I want to answer, my voice can't come out." He said.
The boy with brown hair, which is look older than the other one can only sigh and shook his head. "This is rather complicated, Illya." He said.
The other boy with silverish hair nod his head once more while chewing at his lunch.
The breeze slowly swaying the tip of the full-bloomed sunflower. Playing with both of the boys hair abd the grass around them.
"Rei-nii... Do you think he's someone I know?" The younger boy asked.
"If only I know the answer, Illya..." The boy called 'Rei-nii' answered.
.
.
.
"The sunflower looked to the sky so bright...
Wondering what is up high...
As the sun shower her with his light...
She only can see from the ground with a sigh..."I sing quietly. A tune from my long passed mother. It's repeating again and again everytime I go to the sunflower field.
My brother's watching closely as I'm wandering in the sunflower field as high as my head.
.
.
.
"So the sunflower asked if she could be...
She wonder if she will be...
Together with the sun, even if only dream, can't she?"The boy called Illya by the other one mumbling the song silently. A sad story of the flower he always like. He never knew where is this song come from. Neither his parents.
They say he knew this song since he was little. He always sing this song everytime he go to the sunflower field.
The other boy sit beside him keep silent. Behind a pair of glasses that sit still on the bridge of his nose, a pair of brown iris staring to the sunflower field in front of them.
.
.
.
"At the end they won't be together...
And then why I wonder...?
I wonder if there's someone like the sunflower wait for me...".
.
.
"Ivan! Let's go back! It's dark already!" Pjotr said. I quickly go back to the edge of the sunflower dield where my brother has waited for me.
The sun is almost setting. The sky is in a mixture of red, yellow, blue and most of it, purple. It slightly frighten me that the first thing popped up in my mind is the boy in my dream.
"Let's go." Pjotr said and grab my hand. "Pjotr. Do you think it's weird when you suddenly think about someone you don't know?" I asked.
Pjotr seems so calm. But he's not answering. Instead, he ask me this,
"Do you want to meet your twins, Ivan?"
