I have to say something, I would stay if there were no monitors or guards, now, I know you think it's crazy, It's true, they use air condition in the summer and use heat in the winter, at least we get food and water easily, and a place to sleep in, just think of what it would be like if I escaped, I'd have nothing. But the guards and monitors beat us nearly till death for fun or if you whisper something rude, or just a freaking sneeze (only monitors for the sneeze). Monitors watch you do your job and guards just don't even guard they just beat you up for no reason. That is why I want to leave.
I quickly slip the book in the door, heart pounding and sweat running down my face. It works, and the door is open just enough. I waited with Jax silently because guards were watching you on a security camera, we pretended to sleep. After 15 minutes the blinking red dot was gone and they weren't watching anymore. I sprang out of bed, Jax was asleep! I shook him and he yawned, then said "Geez, I was having such a good dream," "No time to lollygag, this is the time to go." I opened the heavy, metal door, making a slight squeak. Jax and I ambled forwards being careful not to make a sound "Look night guards he whispered" "Luckily we have the element of surprise." I said like an action movie hero as I pulled out my shiv made from a toothbrush. I leaped with the shiv and jabbed it right into the guard's neck. The guard screamed in pain, but it was short-lived, when I put my hand on his mouth, to not wake up everyone else in the building. As blood rushes out of the wound from the shiv, Jax yells "Eat this!" as he bursts a huge wave of fire directly at the guards. "No you idiot, you're gonna wake everyone up, Just stick to the plan," I whispered angrily.
