Rena's body started to shift, as her eyes opened. She looked around and she saw grass, then she shot up in a sitting position quickly. A little too quickly she suddenly became dizzy, she put a hand to her head.
"Ughhh....what happened?" As she looked around she didn't know where she was, all she saw were tall trees that seemed to go on forever. "Hiro....? Are you there?" she said shyly. As she said that she heard rustling in the bushes near her. She didn't move, she was scared of what could come out of that bush. As the sound got closer she started to freak out more and more, she looked around in search of the nearest thing to throw and she saw a rock. She picked it up and rounded her arm up ready to throw it as hard as she could. Then a figure popped up from the bush "AHHHHHHH!!!!" she screamed as she chucked the rock at the figure.
"OUCH!!!" she heard in return. She opened her eyes in curiosity and looked to where the figure was. What she saw made her shoulders drop down in relief. She saw Hiro standing there with both his hands covering his nose. He looked like he was in pain the only reason she could think of why was because of the rock. She grimaced at the thought. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR!" he yelled.
"Sorry Hiro I thought you were something else, for all I know you could have been a wild animal," she said quietly.
"And you decide to throw a rock at it?....... Like that is going to do any damage to it..." he stated as he looked at her blankly while rubbing his nose gently with one hand.
"Well I didn't know what to do, it's not like I go hunting like you do Hiro." she stared back at him. As she said that she got up and walked over to him. "I'm sorry Hiro, I didn't mean to hit you in the nose......or anywhere at all," she said.
"It's fine you were just trying to defend yourself......by the way that was a weak throw.." he said as he looked down at her.
"HEY!!" she yelled and slapped his arm "I'm not that bad at throwing..." she said quietly.
"Yes, I suppose you're not that bad," he said while chuckling. "Anyway do you have any idea of where in the world we are?" he asked while taking the time to look around.
"No, I was hoping you had the answer to that, I haven't been out of the estate in a long time might I remind you," she said as she tried to look for some sort of clearing. Suddenly there was another sound of the nearby bush rustling again. "Hey Hiro?" she said quietly.
"Yeah?" he said, not knowing of the approaching sound.
"I think there might be something in the bushes over there......" she said, starting to panic again.
"Rena, are you sure cause last time it was just me. It could just be a little rabbit or something, don't freak out," he said calmly.
"Yeah but, do little rabbits growl at humans?" she said back quickly.
"Wait what?" he said, whipping his head toward the direction where Rena was looking. Within the bushes, Hiro could faintly see glowing blue eyes and could hear the sound of a growling animal ready to attack. "Rena, we need to back away slowly...there is a wild animal in that bush over there and I don't think it's a friendly one." Then suddenly all they saw was a blur of gray.
"AHHHHHH!!!!!" they both screamed. When the gray blur came to a stop they came face to face with a rather large gray wolf with crystal blue eyes. The wolf was in a very defensive stance, and it began to circle the two teens.
"Ummmmm......listen here wolf umm...we don't mean any harm, we don't even know where we are," Hiro said in a panicked tone
"Ummm...Hiro do you think the wolf is going to understand you, cause if you do I might be concerned that I threw that rock at you too hard." Rena said dumbfounded.
"Well I don't know if it does....but it looks like it, cause look, it's not growling at us anymore," he said as he looked back at her. And with that, she looked back at the wolf and was met with large blue eyes. It didn't look like it was going to attack them but looked like it wanted to say something to them.
"Uhhhhhh....is that normal?" Rena said, looking from the wolf to Hiro.
"Not normally but, who cares at least we're not getting attacked," he said back to her.
"True." with that Rena started to walk toward the wolf slowly and was a good 3 feet away from it. Rena didn't realize how big it was, it was just below her chin. She held out her hand to the wolf offering her hand so it wouldn't get uncomfortable from her.
"Rena what in the world are you doing!" Hiro said in a panicked tone. And with that, the wolf walked up to Rena and sniffed her hand, and just stood in front of her. The wolf's eyes then were drawn toward Rena's necklace. The wolf's eyes seemed to widen at the sight, but Rena wasn't sure if that happened or if she was just imagining it. The wolf backed up and started to glow a blue aura. Rena started to freak out and back up until her back hit Hiro's chest. Hiro put his hands on both of her shoulders, gripping them tight. Keeping his gaze on the wolf. Soon as the dust died down, there was a man in the place where the wolf once was. His eyes locked onto the two teenagers.
"What the heck?" Rena said, breaking the silence. "Who are you?" she asked the man. Her gaze went from the man's blue eye to his head were a pair of gray wolf ears lay. And a wolf tale behind him, he wore a long black coat that was lined with grey fur at the trimming. And had a black shirt and gray pants, with a pair of black boots. He took a step toward the two and they took a step back. He saw this and found that they were scared, he stopped and he kneeled before them. They found that very weird "Ummm.....what are you doing?" Rena asked out. He looked up at her and she looked back at his clear eyes. He opened his mouth and announced.
"My name is Sora, princess. I am glad to see that you are in great health and no danger has come to you." Sora said firmly. Hiro and Rena looked at one another in confusion and back at the mysterious man that announced himself as Sora.
"Uhhhhhh.....what," Rena said, absolutely confused and trying to process what he just said. She had heard him say princess but she knows that it couldn't be possible. She was no princess, she was just only a maid, that's what she's known her whole life. "Are you sure that you're talking to me? Because I think you got the wrong person." She said quickly while waving her hands in front of her.
"No, I am certain without a doubt. Only those with that necklace are part of the royal family." He said as he gazed at her with a stern but gentle gaze. Rena continued to stare back gazing at his eyes and could not find a mistake in what he said. While they were staring at each other, Hiro looked at them with a questioning look.
"Uhhhhh...So what you're saying is that Rena....this one....is part of the royal family?" He asked Sora.
"Yes, there is no mistaking it, she is part of the royal family. She resembles the former queen, her mother quite greatly." He responded softly.
'Wait just a minute.....did he just say my mother?' Rena thought to herself. 'How much does he know about her?....... WAIT, QUEEN!?'
"DID YOU JUST SAY SHE WAS THE QUEEN!" she exclaimed.
"Yes, I did which makes you the princess, your highness," Sora said looking at her.
