Her feathery fingers played along the length of the piano like some angel tap dancing on the keys.

Shaurya had his eyes closed. It seemed as if he was breathing her music, inhaling it. She was playing one of his all time favorite compositions -

Spring Waltz by Chopin!

Anokhi was deeply engrossed in playing her part as a musician and a trainee classical instrumentalist. She had no clue how hard Shaurya was trying to supress his urges, which were growing more and more uncontrollable, irresistible. Her music seemed to turn him on, making him weak in his knees.

He got up, pacing the room impatiently. While Anokhi played on, her fingers dancing like little elves along the length of the keyboard. Shaurya felt as if he was getting surrounded by some blue smoke from an alien world, where nothing else exists, just her music and he. He sighed and walked towards her, ultimately standing behind her. Her tiny head was moving with the rhythm. Her long flowing hair covered her shoulders and back like a black curtain. He was dazed by the way she was engrossed in the magic she was creating with her fingers. She didn't even realize that he was standing too close to her.

Shaurya leaned forward and placed both his hands on either side of her on the fall board. As he bent a little, some strands of her hair brushed over his face, giving him a subtle idea of her essence. He closed in and started playing a few chords in sync with her music. She sensed it. Her music changed, got more enlivened by his contribution. She sensed it and her lips curved into a smile, though she didn't turn at him and kept her eyes fixed on the keys. Shaurya's arms touched her shoulders while playing. She moved a little, shuddered to be precise. She was wearing a cold shoulder lilac dress. The hairs on the bare portion of her shoulder stood up on sensing his warm breath. Her fingers automatically missed a note.

'Shit!' She stopped playing. Shaurya got up, 'What happened?' he asked.

'I missed a note. Sorry.'

Shaurya smiled at her. There was something in his smile that made her lower her eyes.

'Thats okay. It happens. When your focus shifts...'

Anokhi looked up. Her calm eyes shot an angry glance at him.

'I never lose my focus Sir. You are mistaken.'

'Oh, is it?' He took a step towards her, while she sat straight on the stool, hands on her lap. He lifted her chin up with a finger and said in his rare, husky tone, 'Are you sure Miss Bhalla?'

Anokhi nodded vigorously.

'Okay then. I am challenging you. Play Fur Elise now. And DON'T skip a single note. I will play with you. Let me see how focussed you are.'

A shiver ran down her spine on seeing his face. He had a devilish smirk on, which wasn't good news for her.

She turned towards the keyboard, while Shaurya dragged another stool and placed it right behind her. Sitting down, he placed his hands on either side of her, almost cocooning her, but not touching. Anokhi felt goosebumps on her bare arms. He was doing it deliberately to make her lose the challenge. But she won't let him.

As she starting playing one of the most difficult compositions in the history of music, she felt his breath on her shoulders again. But she was prepared for it this time. She didn't let her mind wander and focussed on the notes while he held the chords.
