Nico's greatest fear is of someone finding out about his homosexuality. Therefore, he never stayed at either camp for long and didn't make connections of friendship with most people to keep them from finding out, becoming more isolated than any other demigod.

Nico di Angelo acquired it sometime between The Titan's Curse and The Battle of the Labyrinth. The origin of the sword is currently unknown, but there is a possibility that Nico forged it himself before or during The Battle of the Labyrinth when he is seen near the River Styx. The sword is a Falcata sword.

Nico really likes McDonald's: In The Battle of the Labyrinth, Nico is shown summoning ghosts using Happy Meals as an offer. This has become a sort of inside fandom joke, and mostly-ironic fanart depictions of him as a huge fan of junk food have appeared.

Nico uses the scepter to summon souls to fight off the souls of Pompeii. Later, Bryce Lawrence uses necromancy to summon British soldiers in Buford, though Nico ends up killing Bryce by turning the latter into a ghost, in a particularly powerful and fearsome display of necromancy powers.
