“Jasper! Hurry! You don’t want to be late for you first day! Do you?!” Linda yelled downstairs to Jaspers room.

Like normal, he didn’t respond. He was to busy being kept in his thoughts. His world. Of course, he still listens.

He slowly slipped on his shoes and he grabbed his bag. He sluggishly walked up the stairs. The smell of coffee and spices fill the air, like usual. The scent brought happiness, the feel of home.

“Grab an apple or something. We’re late!” His Aunt told him. He followed her orders. He swung his back-pack over his shoulder and shuffled out the door.

He walked to Bentley that Linda owned. He clammed into the passenger seat of the car. Linda got in on the other side. She started the car and pulled out.

“So, are you excited?” She asked. He glanced over to her then back to the window.

“No? Yes?…No. Okay.” They droved I n silence until the pulled up to the school. Clark High School.

“Have a good day. Pick you up later.” She told him. Jasper stared at the school for a moment. He could tell he was going to hate it here.

He got out of the car. He slowly walked up to the front door. People flooded it. He got lost in the crowd. He stayed behind, so he wouldn’t get into peoples way.

After everyone was in, he walked in. It was cold, cold enough to give him goose bumps. The smell of cheap perfume and teenage boys filled the air.

Jasper could already feel people staring at him. He quickly rushed to his locker. Putting everything away and grabbing what he needed. He glanced at his classes. English with Miss. Wint.

He found her class pretty fast. A few people where in seats. They seemed like the goody-goods, the teachers pet. Jasper didn’t like those people. They are usually the most judgmental.

He walked up to the teacher, who was doing something on the computer.

“Uh, I’m new here… Where do I sit?” He asked. The teacher slowly looked up. She didn’t look old. Actually quite young. Mid-twenties, maybe? She had light brown hair, it was in a bob-cut, she had soft blue eyes.

“You may sit in the back. Is that fine?” She said in a sweet tone of voice. He nodded and head towards the back of the room. He set his binder on a desk that was at the very back in the corner. He looked around the room. The people who where in the room where reading.

He was bored, of course. He set his head in the palm of his left hand. Suddenly, a ringing filled the room. People walked into the room. Everyone was talking. Jasper tensed up. He had never been to a school with so many people. Luckily he was at the back.

He kept his head down, not making any eye contact with anyone.

“Are you new here?” He suddenly heard a voice say. It was a girl voice. He turn his head to see a girl with dark brown hair with blonde on the tips. She had green/hazel eyes.

Jasper just nodded. “What? You don’t talk?” The girl asked. Jasper shook his head.

The girl was going to say something but then she was cut off by the teacher.

“Psst.. By the way, I’m Hazel.” The girl whispered to him. He glance over. He scribbled something down on a piece of paper. He slid it so she can see it.

    Jasper

“Jasper? Cool.” Was all she said until she turned back to the teacher.
