Emma woke up at around five since the incident last night kept her up, she walked down the stairs and saw that she was the only person there. Since there was nobody there, she wrote a quick note and left it on the fridge before heading out of the house.
Gilda woke up from a nightmare with a jolt. She knew that even though the group found a solution yesterday, she still was uncertain about how it would go. After all, this was the same mother who managed to find out about their escape plan and get in the way of it. After finding her glasses, she walked down to the basement and turned on her sewing machine to calm her down.
Ray knew he was the only person who actually managed to sleep how he usually did. Curious to see how the incident affected everybody, he hurried downstairs excitedly. He saw nobody in the but he heard whirring coming from the basement so he decided to check it out.
Norman woke up because of the three sets of footsteps that walked past his door. He was startled to realize that he fell asleep with his head on the study and on his math textbook. Norman knew that he probably felt stressed about last night and he decided to read through it. He stood up, did a couple of stretches that were supposed to ease the pain in his neck and headed downstairs. After making a large pot of coffee, deducing that the group would need it, he read through Emma's note and ran out of the house.
Don awoke to the actual house door being opened and closed. Groggily, he got out of bed and hustled downstairs, convinced that there was an intruder. After doing a thorough search of the main floor, he realized that there was nobody here. He quickly read the note that Emma had left and realized that as probably her leaving the house. He heard people talking downstairs and the light was on. Curious, he descended the stairs and walked into the sewing room.
Emma was almost at the local grocery store when she heard her name being called. She turned around and saw Norman running, "Norman, What are you doing here? Is there something wrong at Gilda's place?" She asked. Norman shook his head,
"How many times have I told you to not walk alone anywhere? It can be dangerous, even if it's only a block away." he stated, Emma looked away sheepishly,
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't wait for anybody to be up and I decided to get breakfast for everybody." Emma replied. The conversation ended as the duo reached the grocery store. Norman grabbed a cart while Emma was trying to come up with a shopping list in her head.
"Emma, if you want we could just roam around the store and grab whatever." Norman suggested. Emma nodded her head and the duo entered the store.
Gilda turned around as she heard footsteps coming closer to the basement. Ray paused what he was saying and waited for Don to come down the stairwell,
"You all woke up early." Don commented, trying to stifle a yawn. Ray shrugged his shoulders,
"I think the incident affected everyone's abilities to sleep, after all, none of you wake up this early." He stated, causing Don to glare at him,
"I wasn't scared, I just woke up because the house door was opened and closed twice! I don't know how anybody could sleep through that." He yelled, leaving out the part where he thought that there was an intruder in the house. Gilda turned off the sewing machine,
"I swear, you both are completely hopeless. Let's head upstairs, I'm curious to see if Emma and Norman are up yet." She replied, shutting them both up. The trio got upstairs and saw nobody there,
"Oh, right! Emma went to the grocery store and I'm assuming Norman went with her." Don said.
Gilda poured herself a cup of coffee, "They left just recently, judging by how hot the coffee still is." She pointed out. She grabbed two mugs and placed them on the table before sitting down. After the duo came to the table, they all started talking about how long it would take for Norman and Emma to get together,
"Obviously by the end of the week!" Don exclaimed,
"Nah, I think after three months." Gilda responded,
Ray shook his head, "Around two months since that's the time of the dance."
After that, Gilda began to zone out after Ray and Don began to argue if water is wet.
Norman and Emma were almost home when they heard shouting going on,
"Water is obviously wet!" The duo had deduced the voice belonged to Don.
"It only makes things wet! If you studied more, you would know this!" Ray yelled. The duo walked into the house to stop this madness,
"Ray's actually correct." Norman stated,
"When did you get back?" Don asked,
"Literally just now, you idiot!" Ray whispered,"We brought breakfast!" Emma yelled, setting down a box of pecan and chocolate chip muffins.
After finishing the box, everybody used the washroom to brush their teeth when Emma asked a question,
"Uhhhhhh, Gilda. What should we wear?"
