It didn't take long for the crew to notice the change in your mood. How it had declined, how reserved you were now, not really talking to anyone.
The boys were perplexed, unsure of what was going on. When asked about it, you said it was nothing, but they all knew it wasn't nothing. Hunter could feel his inner alpha upset every time he saw you sad while working at the bar, giving the small number of customers a fake smile. Hunter thought back to the man who had given them the toys and suppressants, and decided to pay him a visit.
Hunter opened the shop door, looked around and found Olek giving him a smile.
"Hello, need more suppressants?"
"Yes, but I also need information."
"Of course, what do you need?"
"Our omega, she's been distant and closed off, senses her heat. When we ask she says it's nothing, but I know it's not nothing. I can tell."
"You or your inner alpha?"
"Both."
"Hmm." Olek put the suppressants on the counter before sitting back down. "Did anything happen during her heat? Make her feel like you aren't trustworthy?"
"No." Hunter said, a blush on his face. "Nothing."
"Did you knot her?"
"I don't really want to-"
"Yes or no?"
"No, we used a toy the whole time."
"Hmmm..." Olek looked down, mulling it over. "When did her heat end?"
"About a week ago. Once I knew it was over I left the ship and Omega took care of her."
"Wait... you didn't stay with her?"
"No, why would I? Her heat was over."
"I know what's wrong then."
"What is it?"
"You abandoned her."
Hunter was taken aback, his face showing his shock. "W-what do you mean?"
"I mean that even after an omegas heat ends they need that reassurance from the alpha. Leaving right after made her feel abandoned, rejected."
"But I didn't do that!"
"Tell her that! Don't yell at me about it."
Hunter took the suppressants, before leaving the shop. He knew what he had to do.
----------------------------------------------
Hunter told Tech his plan, asking him for help with getting everything prepared.
"It makes sense, her omega instincts would be hurt after that."
"Tech, I don't need a lecture. Just help me."
Tech gave him a knowing look before doing so. Tech collected all the blankets from the different rooms, dropping them in Hunters, before collecting her toys and a box of condoms. He then made sure there was plenty of food before comming Omega.
"It's all set up, bring her here." Tech said into the comm. He then patted Hunter's shoulder, giving him a small smile, then exited the ship.
While he waited Hunter took his armor off, setting it to the side, and took his shirt off. He was sweating, he was nervous. Hunter was rarely nervous. But he knew he had to do this, to make it right with their omega. Their omega.... The team often talked about getting an omega, having kids and raising them on a remote planet. That was before order 66, and they became fugitives of the Republic.
