Me, Charlotte, Japer, and Henry were in Henry's house, Charlotte was studying for math, when Henry and I were looking for a job
"Hey, did you guys see what Captain Man did yesterday?" asked Jasper, earning Henry and I's attention
"Can we focus on algebra?" asked Charlotte, annoyed
"There was a fire at a pet store! and Captain Man ran inside right through the flames, and saved all the animals! And he didn't even get hurt!" said Jasper
"Captain Man never gets hurt" started Henry
"He's a beast" I finished
"You know, someday, when you guys are cleaning my swimming pool, 'cause you failed this algebra test, then flunked out of school, I hope you remember this moment, 'cause I will"
"Relax, Char, I already took the test" I said
"What?! How?!" asked Charlotte
"I knew I had nothing to do after school, and I am starting to kinda like math, so I asked for the test early, Ms. Shapen didn't care, she was just like 'Yeah, yeah, whatever, take it, extra money for me'" I mocked Shapen
"Yeah, and she totally didn't give me the answers" said Henry, I nodded
"Hey, here's a cool job we could do" I started, and Henry put his foot on the table "Foot model" he said
"You guys, could we go over the list for my birthday party?" asked Jasper
"Sure!" I said
"No" said Charlotte
"No" I said
"But I invited 52 people, and nobody's texted me back yet, what does that mean?" asked Jasper
"That people have been to your parties before?" asked Henry
"Oh come on, my parties aren't that bad" said Jasper
"Christmas, 3 years ago, 15 kids ended up in the hospital" said Charlotte
"'Cause of your raw turkey" I said
"It was turkey sushi" said Jasper
"A boy almost DIED" said Charlotte
"Almost!" pointed out Jasper
"Ok! First person who helps me and y/n find an after school job, gets this bowl of pine cones" said Henry, picking up the bowl of pine cones
Jasper gasped
"Why do you guys even need a job?" asked Charlotte
"Learning responsibility, challenges" I said
"They want money" said Jasper
"We want money" Henry and I said
"Money's good" said Charlotte
"Can we please talk about my birthday?" asked Jasper
Charlotte sighed "Am I gonna have to slap a boy?"
"Do it" I laughed
"HEYY!" said Jasper, I put my arms up in defense
"Henry, can you please tell me how in the wor-- Oh, I didn't know Jasper, Charlotte, and y/n were here!" said Kris, Henry's mom, yes I call her that because she told me to call her that, and what can I say, it's easier than saying Mrs. Hart.
"We're studying" said Jasper
"Are we?" asked Charlotte
"Mom, we're right in the middle of something" said Henry
