Chapter 4

"Zhan ge, merry Christmas!" Yibo said as he handed out a wrapped gift to Xiao Zhan.

Xiao Zhan sniffed as he felt cold, he took the gift and glare at Yibo suspiciously.

"Yibo, what is it in the inside?" He asked.

Yibo giggled "Open it, Zhan ge. Gift were made to be a surprise" he said.

Xiao Ming and Xiao Bao chuckled at the two kids. It's like watching Xiao Zhan had a real brother. Xiao Zhan pouted.

"I see, you better not pranking me, okay?" He asked and slowly unwrapped the small box. Inside contained a pair of matching necklace. One has a small key and another is the lock. Xiao Zhan watched in awe as he took it out from the box.

"Wah, such an expensive looking one!" Xiao Zhan said.

Yibo smirked, he took out the necklace with the lock and hang it around Xiao Zhan's neck. Xiao Zhan blinked in confusion. Then Yibo wore the key one on his neck and smiling at Xiao Zhan. Xiao Zhan frowned.

"What is this suppose to mean?" He asked.

Yibo blushed, "Remember that day when you said I should promise you that I will work harder and make you proud. I want you to keep my words as I work hard to achieve my dream while I also will keep my promise to never disappoint you. This is our vow," he explained.

Xiao Zhan gawked, "Ha? You mean this lock means I hold your promise? And that key means what?" He asked.

Yibo grinned, "It's a proof that I have swore to you" he said.

Xiao Zhan gasped, "Yibo, you so young yet you have been this romantic? Don't you pity me? Plus, you put so much effort on this. You know you can just do it without having anything to prove it" he said, feeling bad that Yibo spent his money on small stuff like this.

Yibo shook his head, "I want it. You have no choice but to take it," he said.

They all laughed at Yibo's words. Xiao Zhan nodded, holding the lock firmly in his hand.

"Alright then, if you say so. I will keep your words, don't you try to forget it later," he said.

Yibo chuckled. Xiao Zhan pulled out the longer and bigger box and give it to Yibo. Yibo lifted his eyebrow.

"What is this, Zhan ge? So big" he asked.

Xiao Zhan shrugged "I can't tell you. Gift were made to be a surprise" he said mocking Yibo's words earlier.

Yibo kicked Xiao Zhan but he opened it eventually. What he saw inside brought him tears.

"Zhan ge... th-this.."

"A skateboard. Turn it around," he said. Yibo did as told and he saw the bottom of the skateboard, his name were written perfectly in Hiphop style. It was sprayed with black and green. Yibo's favourite colour.

"Woah, so cool!" He jumped.

Xiao Zhan brush his hair to the side.

"Of course, although the spray quite difficult to use, I finally managed to finish it perfectly," he said, proud of himself.

He heard Yibo squeaked, so he glance at the boy and he saw how Yibo staring at him wide eyes.

"What?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"Did Zhan ge just said you do it by yourself? For me?" He was stunned. When he saw Xiao Zhan nodded, he immediately hug Xiao Zhan. Xiao Zhan received him and smile happily while Xiao Ming and Xiao Bao watched them from afar.
