Once again this pain.
Wringing my heart from the inside out.
I struggle to breathe.
The rain beating down
Like harsh slaps across my skin,
Shattering glass and banging windows.
Thunder roaring, mirroring the devastation within.
I dive and suddenly all is silent.
The wetness surrounding me,
Envelops me like a bubble,
Keeping the noise out.
Down here, my screams are drowned out,
Carried away by the waves.
The silence is too loud.
I wait to drown.
