As I lay in bed I listen,
Footsteps on my left,
Voices on my right.
But what I waited for came from outside.
Two doors to the left,
With an open window,
Came a lonely sound,
That lulled me to sleep.
Every night,
Of every day.

Every Night of Every Day Part I
As I lay in bed I listen,
Footsteps on my left,
Voices on my right.
But what I waited for came from outside.
Two doors to the left,
With an open window,
Came a lonely sound,
That lulled me to sleep.
Every night,
Of every day.
