You are a light.
A light that shows me the way to happiness.
A light that illuminates the darkest crevices of this earth and leads me.
You are also darkness.
To wrap me up warmly and keep me safe.
You provide a darkness that shields me from the atrocities of this world.
You show me light up my world while darkening everyone else's.
Maybe that's why I'm your only friend.
Maybe that's why you're so lonely.
Maybe you need a bit of light.
And a bit of darkness.
