Young socialite M. Cordal receives a phone call from her husband, E. Cordal. Line constantly interrupted by heavy static and other electronic distortion. Mrs. Cordal cannot understand what Mr. Cordal is saying, except for one word—"sorry." Call terminated without warning.
Mrs. Cordal immediately visited by two NYPD officers a few minutes later. They deliver news of Mr. Cordal's apparent suicide. Specifics unknown.
It should be noted that Mr. Cordal had died an hour before.
