Kylie hated Friday nights because they usually consisted of going to some huge party or seeing some awful, romantic comedy with Margo. Although these nights sucked, they definitely beat staying at home. Tonight Kylie was being dragged to another party by Margo. Kylie didn't mind the parties nearly as much as watching a two-hour chick flick, but she still wasn't a huge fan. Tonight, however, was different.
Kylie was extremely dizzy. The room spun and she could barely keep her balance. She felt fuzzy inside, but it wasn't a bad feeling. Kylie was sure she was drunk. Then again, so was everyone else.
A few hours later, Kylie opened her eyes to find that she was no longer at the party, but in the passenger seat of a car. It took awhile for her eyes to adjust to her surroundings. When her vision came back into focus, she fixed her eyes on the boy sitting in the driver's seat next to her. He was absolutely gorgeous. The boy had intense, green eyes and tanned, glowy skin. His dark, messy hair looked effortlessly perfect, and the shadow from the darkness outside of the car contoured his cheekbones, jawline, and muscles beautifully. When the boy realized that Kylie had woken up, he smiled at her.
"What the hell happened?" Kylie asked as she leaned her head against the glass window and rubbed her forehead. Her head was pounding.
"You don't remember anything?" he asked. Kylie shook her head. "Well, obviously, you got really drunk." He chuckled. His laugh was deep, and kind of sexy. "You passed out." His smile faded. "These guys almost raped you."
Kylie's heart stopped beating and her eyes filled with glassy tears. "What?" She asked in a shaky voice.
"These four assholes tried to rape you." His expression was hard and cold, like stone. His bright eyes became a dark storm. "Luckily, I got to you before they had a chance to do any serious damage."
Kylie's mind flooded with confusion, fear, and anger. How could she be so careless and so reckless? "Thank you," she murmured as tears rolled down her flushed cheeks.
The boy reached for her face and gently wiped the tears from her face. "Don't worry. You're safe now." He cracked a small, reassuring smile.
"Who are you?" Kylie asked. "And where are you taking me?" She took slow, deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself down, but she was too afraid and upset.
"I'm Easton Hall." He said without taking his eyes off of the road. "And i'm taking you home."
Kylie began to panick. "No! Please don't take me home!" Tears began to stream down her face again.
Easton stopped the car and turned to her. Concern crossed his face. "Why not? What's wrong?" He asked.
"Just please don't take me home." Kylie began sobbing uncontrollably. This was just all too much.
"Okay, I won't. Don't worry." Easton leaned into her and wrapped his strong arms around her, embracing her trembling body. When Kylie didn't move or speak, he pulled back and started driving again.
After sitting in silence for the remainder of the drive, they arrived at an apartment building. Kylie had fallen asleep in the passenger seat. Easton climbed out of the car and walked around to the passenger side. He opened Kylie's door, unbuckled her, and carried her into the building.
