It was at the Golden Disk Awards that Suzy first met him.
She unfortunately lost Jaebeom and Jinyoung in the crowds after she went to grab another drink, and while she was searching for them she heard someone shouting her name excitedly.
"Suzy noona!"
She turned to the source of the voice to find BamBam and Yugyeom waving at her energetically. She left out a sigh of relief and approached them.
"Hey BamBam, Yugyeom, did you guys see Jaebeomie and Jinyoungie?" She asked her two hoobaes from JYPE.
"What noona! Why are you always with those two hyungs? You should hang out with us sometimes!" BamBam whined cutely.
"Right! We're way more fun to be with!" Yugyeom added.
She giggled at their adorable complaints, "Fine, I'll join you." she gave in.
"Yay noona, let us introduce you to our friends." BamBam and Yugyeom said and dragged her towards a group of guys near them.
It did not take her long to realize who their friends were— the famous '97 liners, including BTS' Jungkook, Seventeen's Mingyu, Astro's Eunwoo and NCT's Jaehyun. She knew them but never really interacted with any of them except Mingyu. They had met once when Yugyeom dragged her out of her practice room for late night snacks.
"Guys we got Suzy noona!" Yugyeom announced excitedly.
"Annyeonghaseyo, Suzy sunbae-nim." Noticing her presence, the boys immediately greeted her politely.
"Annyeonghaseyo." She smiled at them. "I hope I'm not bothering you guys."
"No, sunbae-nim, not at all." Eunwoo said while the other boys nodded their heads in agreement.
"Suzy noona, you look very pretty and I love your performance with Baekhyun sunbae." Mingyu complimented.
"Thank you Mingyu." She smiled sweetly at the tall, tanned boy. She really adored him since he was such a sweetheart.
"Wow you guys are so well-behaved in front of our noona." BamBam teased his friends.
Suzy shook her head. "Honestly, Bam, I think you and Yugyeom are the only naughty ones here."
Her remark quickly made everyone laugh, while Yugyeom and BamBam were pouting.
"Noona, you are just biased because JB hyung told you exaggerated stories." BamBam complained.
"Jaebeomie never lies to me though." Suzy stated point blank.
"Noona you're too trusting of the hyungs."
"They deserve to be trusted more than you... maybe except Jackson that man can't be trusted either." She shook her head remembering how Jackson almost tricked her into a blind date with someone from BTS, as if she hadn't had a good share of dating scandals already.
And that was when she first caught sight of him— Jaehyun of NCT smiled at her with his cute dimples on full display. Her heart skipped a beat when their eyes met. Uh-oh, those damn dimples are definitely doing something.
