"Harrison! The Williams and Porters are here!" Mrs. Clarke graciously welcomed the group of six into the Clarke household. Rebecca Clarke floated towards her living room, introducing them to the rest of the guests.

Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves, laughing, and drinking from sparkling cups full of liquor. Their was a group near an impressive fireplace, surrounding the guest of honour himself, Sawyer Clarke.

The two teenagers of the group,  Walt Porter, and close friend, Caroline Williams, walked side by side in the direction of their friends older brother. Once Sawyer spotted the pair, he quickly said his goodbyes, and met them halfway.

"I'm so glad you guys could make it. Jordan hasn't come down from her room yet, and I've been harassed by people wondering what I was going to major in next year!" Sawyer pulled Caroline into a warm hug, which she returned with adoration for her good friend. Sawyer also gave Walt a warm embrace.

"We would miss it for the world, you know that." Caroline told him, concerned that he didn't know how much he meant to the two. They loved him as much as they did Jordan.

Sawyer ran his strong hand through his tufts of blonde hair, his wide, blue eyes, searching to see if his sister had decided to join.

"Give her a few more minutes, if she isn't here by then, Care and I will go and get her, okay?" Walt placed his hand on the anxious, tense shoulder of Sawyer. He swallowed and nodded.

Before the three parted to socialize with the rest of the guests, two new guests arrived.

"Sawyer! Look! Mr. Keatings and his fiancée came!" The oblivious, Mrs. Clarke announced.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Sawyer growled under his breath, his fists balling up tight. Caroline attempted to call him by grabbing his hand, softly massaging it.

Mr. Keatings had come to town to teach at the local high school. Though he was most students favourite teacher, due to his young age, Carolina, Walt, and Sawyer all knew what had happened during the year.

Wren Keatings kissed his fiancée, Genevieve, on the cheek, before bravely  approaching the trio.

"Hello, Caroline, Walter. I just wanted to congratulate you, Mr. Clarke -" He began.

"Get the hell out of my house, and away from my sister and friends before I call the police and have you arrested for seducing a minor!" Sawyer attempted to speak through his gritted teeth, so not to make a scene.

"I understand." Wren Keatings composure became stiff, straightening up before a sly grin overcame his face. "Just remember, yes, I originally was the instigator in our little affair, but she allowed it to happen. You should really get to know your sister. She isn't the little angel you all believe she is. Jordan is a manipulative slut who craves danger and loves a little adrenaline rush."

Walt held back the furious Sawyer, before he caused more of a scene then what was already happening. It was Caroline who approached Wren.

"All you had to do was say no you asshole. You kept her locked in a box in the corner of your life, and when she had enough and decided to leave, and tell your girlfriend what was happening, you couldn't handle it. You stalked and harassed her. It's not her fault you are a perverted ass. So stay the hell away from Jordan, or you will have to worry about a lot more than the police." The look on Wren Keatings face went from smug, to fear very quickly. Though Carolina was small in stature, she had a lot of spunk. Without a word, Wren went to his fiancée, and left the home.

"I'll go get Jordan." Caroline snapped, her anger still sizzling. She went over to the bar, snuck some whiskey into a glass, and ran up stairs to retrieve Jordan.

"I swear to God, if I see that man one more time, I'll kill him." Sawyer promised.

"Stop. If anyone heard you say that, you'd be the one in trouble, not Wren." Walt negotiated. Walts breathing was heavy, the thought of Jordan's safety and reputation on his mind.

A loud shriek came from upstairs, silencing the crowd. All heads turned towards the stairs. Sawyer and Walt  bolted up towards the scream, followed closely by Mr, and Mrs Clarke.

The four followed the sound of sobbing to the second door on the right. Inside was Caroline Williams sobbing over a  body. Rebecca Clarke fell to the floor at the sight of her daughter, lifeless on the bed. Walt took action and reached for her wrist.

"It's faint but it's there, we have to go!" Walt yelled at the shocked group. Sawyer snapped out of his trance, and swept his sister into his arms bridal style and whisked them down the stairs and to his car.

The guests whispered and questioned one another.

"The party is over!" Mr. Clarke boomed, following his son with his wife held close to his side.

The confused, scared guests followed the Clarkes out of the house. Meanwhile, audible sobs were coming from maths bedroom where Jordan was found.

Inside, sat Caroline, wrapped in Walts arms. The two sitting in front of the bed.

"She- she must have taken so many..." Caroline choked out. Her eyes staring, dead, at the open bottle of pills on the bed. Walt held on tighter. Caroline sobs became louder, and harder "I should have known. I was her best friend!"

"It's not your fault... None of us could have known..."
