Why is this so hard

I'm trying, I'm really trying to keep going

I try to focus and continue
But everywhere I go I see you

Everything I do reminds me of you
And I fall back into the ocean of grief

When I try eat I see you sitting across me giggling as you tell me about your day

The silence without your laughter is deafening

When I try sleep I see you beside me wrapping your arms around my waist protectively

The empty space next to the bed seems endless

I want to hold you again

Hear your heart beat as I lean my head on your chest
Smell your sweet warm scent as you gently tangle your fingers through my hair
Feel your soft lips on mine like nothing in the world matters but us

And yet the world split us apart too soon

How long do I have to wait to meet you again?
