In the smoke~ Colby Brock.

When i woke up, Colby was gone. I thought that maybe he just left because he woke up earlier than me so i didn't really think much of it. I got changed into a red cropped flannel with black ripped jeans and fishnets. I walked out into the kitchen to grab something to drink and i realized that the apartment door was left wide open. That's weird? 

I walked out by the door and stood in the hallway looking around for a little bit. "Colby?" i said out loud, loud enough so a few people from the doors over would hear. I didn't get answer so i shouted one more time. Still no answer. I felt a little abandoned so i gave up and walked back into his apartment. 

Colby pov.

Me and Sam were just quietly talking while watching a movie when we heard something. "What was that?" Sam asked looking around the room. "I don't know, it's probably just the guy's in Jakes." We ignored it and went back to the movie. 

"Colby?" We heard again. Taylor. "Shit" I stood up but Sam grabbed my arm stopping me. "Who was that?" He asked with his eyebrows furrowed. "It was Taylor, she wasn't awake when i left the apartment, i need to go." His eyes are full of sympathy but he let's my arm go. I nod and smile at him and walk out the door.

When i get back into my apartment, i hear the shower running. I knock softly on the door hoping Taylor will answer. There's a soft "hold on" and the shower stops. She comes out with her hair wet and small white towel wrapped around her body. 

"Hey i uh just wanted to say that i'm sorry i didn't say i had left i had to go see Sam about something" She just smiled. "It's okay, i hope you don't mind me using your shower. I have work today" I couldn't stop staring at her, she was stunning. She looked up to me, "your staring." She whispered, giggling slightly. "yeah s-sorry" i whispered yet stuttered. 

"I need to get back to my shower colby-"She started but i cut her off. "Yeah sorry go on" and with that i walked away. 

Taylor's pov

I closed the door behind me as i walked back into the bathroom. That was really strange. I finished up with my shower and i heard laughter coming from somewhere in the house. I couldn't tell who it was but i just ran back into his room. What i didn't notice though was that they were in his room. I stood there in a towel staring at these two guys who i had never met before. 

"um i just needed to get my clothes" i said in a really small voice. One of the boys turned to Colby and high fived him. "Damn Colby you get lucky last night huh?" He said as he winked at me. "No Brennen, it wasn't anything like that" He said in a pissed tone. "Seems like it to me." The other guy said. 

They both looked pretty intimidating, The one who spoke first was quite tan with green eyes and some facial hair. He was wearing a lot of rings and had a hoodie on which said 'xplr'. The other guy was really tall with blonde hair and covered in tattoo's. He had loads of rings on as well and was wearing a 'my chemical romance' tank top'. 

"I said nothing happened okay?!" Colby said even more mad then before. "Okay dude chill out" the one with tattoo's said. I just stood there awkwardly and grabbed my clothes from the dresser. I had completely forgotten that i had my work clothes in my bag so when i opened it to get some better clothes, they saw my work attire. The tan one who i think is called Brennen, jumped across the room and grabbed my work clothes.

"Well well well, what do we have here huh? 'It wasn't like that' my ass" He started to try to put them on but i didn't want them to break as i knew i would have to pay a lot of money to replace them, these costumes can cost up to $1000 each!

"Hey! Give me that back i need that!" I shouted trying to jump up to get it but he lifted his arm up out of my reach and i also had a disadvantage as i was in a towel. Colby snatched the costume out of Brennen's hand and gave it to me. "I swear down bro you try anything like that again and your gonna wanna pray to god or some shit because that ain't cool. No nothing happened, something bad had occurred at Taylor's work and i so happened to be there at the time and i know her so i offered her to stay here now shut the fuck up and leave."

Both boys looked at Colby in disbelief the made their way past me, nudging me in the arm. I quickly grabbed my clothes and ran into the bathroom hoping that whatever just happened was all in my head. 

It wasn't. When i walked out, Colby looked at me with  hint of anger behind his eye's. "Hey Taylor, i think it might be best if you left." He said with a cold voice. I shivered in fear. I couldn't move, i couldn't talk, nothing. 

"I said, leave!" He shouted this time. I flinched back and ran into his room grabbing my things and without any hesitation, i left. I shut the apartment door behind me and kind of just stood in the hallway for a second trying to wrap my brain around everything that had happened. Bad idea.

Sam came out of his door and looked at me. "Woah woah woah, are you okay? your crying" He asked me slightly concerned. I hadn't even realized i was crying until he said something about it. I wiped my eye's quickly and just nodded. "I heard Colby shout at you, what happened?" He motioned me forward to his apartment so i followed him in and sat down on the sofa.

"Um, when i came out the shower, i needed to get some of my clothes because i had forgot to take them in with me. But when i ran into his room with a towel around me, There was this guy who i think is called Brennen?" He nodded like saying he knew who i was on about. "And there was this other guy, he was really tall, blonde hair and covered in tattoo's" I described him hoping he would also know. "That would be mike yeah but carry on." 

"Yeah but any way's in my bag there was one of my work costumes in there because i work as an exotic dancer, Brennen saw the costume in my bag and snatched it out of there and he kept saying things like me and Colby hooked up which definitely isn't true. Colby shouted at him then told them to get out after he had gotten it back but before he could say anything i ran into the bathroom so i could change." Sam was giving me a sympathetic look which to be honest i was sick of. I had been getting so much recently i didn't need them to do it again, i didn't say anything though.

"When i got out, he said it would be best if i had left. My body didn't react at first because i was scared. His voice was so cold Sam, He sounded like he wanted me dead! When i didn't move he shouted. Now I'm so scared of him." Tears slipped from my eye's because i thought that i had made progress with Colby. But i didn't. 

Sam pulled me in for a hug as i cried. I felt so comforted but it wasn't Colby, it would never be Colby. Just as soon as that thought came into my head, Colby burst through the door. I was still hugging Sam and when he saw us he did this sad but mad chuckle. "yeah, no." And just like that, he walked out. Sam immediately rushed out after him trying to get him to understand what was happening but he wasn't listening. 

I thought it would be best if i actually left this time so i grabbed my bag and made my way out of his apartment. "So are you just cheating on Katrina now huh?!" Colby shouted sounding hurt. "What no of course not! I was comforting the girl you just scared shitless!" Sam retaliated and just like that, everything was quiet. I started to cry again and i ran out the building. 

I waited at the bus stop for the bus and when it got here i looked in my bag for my money. Shit! I had left all my spare cash on me at Colby's. Looks like I'm walking for 35 minuets. 

The whole 35 minuet journey was wet and rainy. That was quite rare for LA but it was just my luck. When i got home i was drenched. My face was soaking but i honestly couldn't tell if that was the rain of if it was me crying. 

I didn't even bother to change, i just flopped down into my bed and cried myself to sleep. Look's like im not going to work and now im going to have to pay the price.
