Family, supposed to protect you, not all the time. This family was different, four children, a mother, a father and a grandmother. All living under one roof, surely they would spot what was going on? Obviously, they knew what was going on, they had all types of people living under their roof and coming through that front door. The mother claimed she had no idea what was going on under her own roof, yet her daughters were caught several times with older men in their beds? One of her daughters was dating a very older man at age 14 and living with him!
When the family moved to Blackpool, the young girl went from someone very sweet to someone you would hardly recognise. She was described as “bubbly and outgoing” but as she got used to being in Blackpool, things changed. She started smoking, drinking and ditching school. Her school had finally had enough and said she had been excluded, now leading up to the exclusion she would start to skip school with her older sister who seemed to influence the behaviour because she was in a behaviour school herself, so maybe she was the one who introduced the 14 year old to all of the grooming.
