A/N: I will be putting songs at the beginning of most chapters because it's fun and I love music. I absolutely ADORE, no pun intended, this song. I love Young the Giant and strongly encourage you to listen to them. This song has actual crack in it I love it so much. I don't know if it fits the chapter but let me know if you think it does. Okay bye, enjoy!

Street walker where I go,
Is all my fault,
Just tell me where you go

Music is blasting in my ear as I stroll through the isles of the gas station. Humming along so quietly, it was basically nothing. I wandered aimlessly through the isles not really sure why I was even here, I didn't need anything. I walked up to the cashier with two things in hand, a Monster and a pack of gum. I probably looked literally insane right now.
"Is that it?" The cashier replied, bored and probably wanting to go home. It was 2 am, so I feel kinda bad for her.
"Uh yeah," I managed a slight smile. She scanned my items, told me my total and mustered the politest good night she could. As soon as I left, the cold air hit my face. Winter in New York City couldn't be any worse. It was February, so we were in the awkward period of time where you are so done with winter and all the snow that left is slush and a dark grey color. There was still a handful of people around, per usual. New York wasn't known for having a curfew and 2 a.m. was probably the waking time of the city.
But still, I felt like the only person in the world right now. My cheeks were flushed a pink color and my fingertips felt like they could fall off at any second. A huge grin was plastered on my face. It was that special time of night where I always felt all giddy and happy. I relished in it, knowing it wouldn't last for long. I spun around in circles belting out the lyrics to the song playing in my ears.
Suddenly, a hand grasped around my arm. I screamed out and quickly yanked my foot away. I was always prepared for situations like these, I flung out my pepper spray and aimed in no direction just behind me.
"Jesus Christ!" A voice exclaimed. I didn't even bother to look at the person and just pulled myself together and started to run towards my apartment, I was only a block away.
"No stop!" The voice boomed again, it sounded genuine. I hesitated, knowing I shouldn't but also I was really tired and this person maybe isn't horrible. Against my better judgement. I started to slow down and once I was at a comfortable distance away from this person, I turned myself around to look. I took out the earbud that was snug in my ear and paused my music. It wasn't what I expected to say the least. Usually all the weird men who try and harass you in New York city are all old and ugly. But not this guy. I probably was standing a good 20 feet away from him but I could see every detail. His jawline was really sharp and he had a bunch of messy curls piled on top of his head. He had only a white long sleeve dress shirt and black pants on. It was nearly 30 degrees, I don't know how he wasn't freezing to death. He started to walk towards me and I subconsciously backed up.
"I'm not going to hurt you I promise, I just need a place to go and my phone is dead. If you're not comfortable with me walking with you, I can just use your phone to call an Uber or my friend to pick me up. I'm really sorry, I don't know what to do and I really need to get home." He was practically pleading at this point and had a look of terror in his eyes. Now, I could hear the British accent wrapped around the words. I stood there like an idiot until I finally realized he was looking for a response.
