The quite bench

I take my first step outside and the warm sun caresses my face, to be honest, I like the colder weather anyways only because it pretty much guarantees we will stay inside. there's the pavement and the field the pavement is where all the "cool kids" play basketball and soccer I don't fit in there so much so I tend to head for the field there's a path that loops around it on the outer rim I tend to walk along with it until I get to the back there's a bench there although there are benches located all along the path I like that one though because nobody ever goes back there so it's nice and quiet only the birds for the company I tend to read there but sometimes just sit and enjoy the symphony. I start my trek...

there's a group of other people in front of me non of which I know although I do recognize a brunette girl walking upfront she is wearing a dress sprinkled with pastel flowers their outgoing-looking personality matches. where have I seen her before... she must be in one of my classes. I try to avoid social interaction though it freaks me out a phobia of some sort I guess. as I turn the first corner they derail onto the wet morning grass I'm glad they did now I can walk a little bit faster not that I needed to the break is one hour long but the quicker I get to the bench the sooner I can get back to my book although I may read another one of my books instead there's only so much Alice you can take before you really go mad.

I turn the next corning a few minutes later. now I'm walking along the back of the field the bench is just a little bit off I can see it from here! A burst of excitement flows through me I can start to hear chirping and crickets leaves being rustled on and the gentle breeze that takes the edge off the sweltering heat I sit down and take my backpack off and place it beside me. I open the front pouch and place my hand inside whatever one I grab is going to be what I'm reading a game I play often because it's too hard for me to choose. my hand rustles through the bag and I clench onto a hardcover book and carefully with my other hand take out the other books so I don't yank them from the bottom and pull all the other books with it I place them in a neat pile beside me.

finally, I pull out the book and there's nothing the cover it just...white I flip the book over and there's nothing on that side either I open the book to a random page empty the pages aren't filled I fan through the book to make sure but to no surprise not one single page has a word on it "what the f-"I whisper under my breath. What kind of sick joke is this I go through it one more time to make sure I'm not crazy but it's a 400-500 page book with no words. somebody must have placed it there why would I pay for a book with no words. only a fool would do such a thing I put the book down. And listen to the birds for the rest of my break thinking about who could have but that there. And why somebody would put it there

will update later
