When Everything Turns Blue

Episode One The 1950's

It was an early morning in the Maximoff/Barnes household, Maya and Wanda were in the kitchen waiting for the men to wake up. Wanda was putting away dishes when vision walked into the kitchen, it hit him on the head. "my wife and her flying saucers" vision said, " my husband and his indistructuble head" wanda quiped back. Maya smiled sweetly at the two "well aren't you two just a lovely couple" Maya intruptered their banter. Wanda smiled at Maya and fixed the plate and wraps her arms around visions neck, " What do you say to silver dollar Pancakes, crispy hash browns,bacon, eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice and black coffee?" wanda asked, vision replied with a "i say oh i don't eat food" Maya joining in on the joke says "that explains the empty refrigerator"and smiles back at the couple. Bucky finally joins them in the kitchen and walks up to Maya and kisses her on the cheek "Good moring doll" he says "Good moring love" she answers back. Thats when intrupets the new found silence "Wanda?" "Hmm?" she replies, "Is there something special about today?" vision asks. "I know the apron is a bit much,darling, but I'm doing my best to blend in." "Wanda hun i don't think he means the apron" Maya laughs. " Maya's right, There on the calendar-- someone's drawn a little heart right over today's date." "Oh yes, the heart... Don't tell me you've forgotten, Vis." "Wanda, I am incapable of forgetfulness. I remember everything. That is not an exaggeration. In fact, I'm incapable of exaggeration."  vision answers back.  "Well then, tell me what's so important about today's date." Wanda asks. "What was the question?" vision jokes. "Perhaps you've forgotten yourself." "Me? Heavens no. I've been so looking forward to it!" "As have I!" by now Maya had made some coffee with her magic for Bucky and her to watch this encounter. "Today you and I are celebrating..." "You bet we are! It's the first time we... have ever celebrated this occasion before!" Maya snickered, she could try to figure out herself but she's having to much fun watching them go back and forth. "It's a special day!" "Perhaps an evening?" "Of great significance--" "To us both!" "Naturally." "Obviously." "Exactly. Well Done." At this Maya let out a very unatracttive snort, Wanda looked at Maya and playfully rolled her eyes. "off to work for us then" Vision says as he and Bucky stand up "Don't forget---" Wanda says "I haven't" vision replies defensively. Wanda gestures to his face and smiles, "ah" vision says sheepishly, Wanda returns to the calender and contemplaits the heart " what could it mean?" Maya shurgs her shoulders walking over to Wanda. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, Wanda and Maya walk across the living room to the front door. " Hello my dears! I'm Agnes, your neighbor to the right, my right not yours.  Forgive me for not stopping by sooner to welcome you to the block, my mother in-law was in town... so i wasn't!" Agnes hands Wanda the plant she was holding and breezes past the two into the house. "So! What's your name? Where're youfrom? Most importantly, how's yourbridge game, hon?" Wanda replies with an "i...I'm Wanda and this is my friend Maya" "Wanda, Maya . Charmed.  Golly, you settled in fast. Did youuse a moving company?" Agnes asked, "We sure did! Those boxes don't move themselves" at that Maya snickered but ended up getting swatted by Wanda. "What's two single gals rattaling round this big house?" Agnes questions. "Oh no, we're not single" Wanda answers, "well i don't see any rings" wanda and maya instictivly hid their hands. "i assure you, we're married" wanda replied, "not to each other" Maya added " right, To aman. A human one. And tall. As amatter of fact, he'll be home latertonight for a special occasion,just the two of us." "Really? Is it somebody's birthday?" "We don't think so..." Maya answered for wanda as she saw the confused look on her face, "Today isn't a holiday, is it?" Agnes asked again, Maya replied for wanda again " no, not a holiday..." " their anniverversary then?" this time wanda answered 'y-yes! That must be it.Our anniversary!". "Oh, that's just marvelous! How many years?" Agnes asks, "It feels like we'vealways been together." replies wanda though not looking to sure about it. "Lucky gal. The only way Ralph wouldremember our anniversary is ifthere was a beer named 'June 2nd.'" Maya giggled at that exoposation (A/N is that even a word?) "So what do you have planned?" Agnes asked after a beat of silence, "how do you mean?" Maya curiously asked even if it wasn't bucky and her anniverary. "For Wanda's special night! A youngthing like her doesn't have to domuch, but it's still fun to set thescene. Say, I was just reading acrackerjack magazine article called"How to Treat Your Husband to KeepYour Husband." Let me tell you--what Ralph could really use is "Howto Goose Your Wife so You Don'tLose Your Wife!" Maya laughs loudly, "oh sorry, i'm just very giddy today i guess" She says after a second of silence, "Hang on, I'll go grab it and we canstart planning! This is going to bea gas!" Wanda and Maya sat on the couch together, Maya smiled softly at Wanda, "This could be fun." Maya said to her.
