That Green-haired Girl (High School Version)

Chapter 1: Meeting

It was a normal day. The sun was bright, the bird was chirping, the breeze felt good.
But honestly, I don't really care. Aren't I such a party pooper.
Anyways, I'll introduce myself. I am Shirakawa Shirou, a 2nd year in high school at age 17. I'm a former neet and more.

I was staring outside the window with my chin resting on my hand, not paying attention to my surroundings. Suddenly, a girl ran into the room quickly and couldn't stop herself. She seemed to be running towards me and she stopped, our faces were so close that our noses were touching.
I stared into her eyes with a normal expression as she blushed a little.

"And you are..?" (Shirou)
"Oh, sorry about that!" (????)

The girl chuckled and backed away as I finally took the full-glimpse of her.
She had green hair.
Did she dye that? That can't be her natural hair color.
And she had green eyes that I found beautiful.

"You didn't answer my question." (Shirou)
"I'm Megpoid Gumi, you are?" (Gumi)
"Shirakawa Shirou.." (Shirou)
"Nice to meet you!" (Gumi)

Gumi stuck out her hand as I looked around the classroom and everyone seemed jealous.
What's their problem?
The whole classroom were filled with whispers and quiet mutters as I slowly took her hand and shook it.

"Nice to meet you too." (Shirou)

She smiled at me which made me frown more since it felt so..bright.
The teacher finally entered the room and the Gumi walked over to the front of the classroom.

"Everyone, this is Megpoid Gumi-san. Some of you may know her." (Teacher)

The students, except me, nodded as I stared at them confused.
Do they stalk her?

"She's famous and more. Megpoid-san, you sit over.." (Teacher)

Everyone looked around where the other empty seat was which was surprisingly by me.
Wait, famous?
Gumi walked over and bowed to me.

"Take care of me." (Gumi)

Take care of you? I hardly know you. Did sitting next to me make you my duty?
I nodded while looking at her with full eyes.

"Sure." (Shirou)

Don't I have the most dandy personality?

"I'm Megpoid Gumi." (Gumi)
"Yeah. I heard and you told me." (Shirou)
"Oh yeah, must have slipped my mind." (Gumi)
"Then eat your veggies." (Shirou)
"What?" (Gumi)
"Nothing." (Shirou)

A guy threw papers on the back of my head repeatedly as I tried my best to stay calm.
One of the notes went over my shoulder and landed on my desk, saying "Fcking read it, u cunt."
Wow, rude much?
Sighing, I open the seeing a poster of a green-haired girl.
Wait.. She seems.. So..
I looked to my right to look at Gumi and she turned her head to look at me and rose an eyebrow.

"Hm?" (Gumi)

No wonder she seemed to familiar! I haven't been on the Internet much, but! That girl.. Is the famous vocaloid Megpoid Gumi!

"Yes Shirou-san?" (Gumi)

I looked away towards the window.

"Nothing." (Shirou)
"Hmm.. Hey, wanna hang out after school?" (Gumi)

At that, I almost choked on the own air I was breathing as I stared at her with a slightly shocked expression.

"Okay.. Then.." (Shirou)

Gumi smiled brightly at me and nodded with a slight grunt of cheerfulness.

"Alright! First friend achieved!" (Gumi)
"When did I ever said I was your friend?" (Shirou)
"Since you said your first words to me!" (Gumi)
"Whatever." (Shirou)

I said with a slight pout on my face as I stared out the window with an irritated face.

On that day, my whole world changed into something brighter.
