Hopes peak academy was a school reserved for only the best of the best. There's only two requirements for applying, one of them being nigh impossible to fulfil. First, you must be a high school student and second, you must be the absolute best at what you do. Many students all over the world dream of entering hopes peak at one point, though few ever actually make it. Kiyotaka Ishimaru was one of those few. He had recently been accepted into the academy as "the ultimate moral compass", a title that he has worked all his life for. Now finally, his first day at the academy had arrived.

----------

The first morning rays had made their way through the sleeping boys window, filling his room with comfortable spring warmth. Through the chirping of the birds nesting in between the tree branches one could hear quiet, steady breathing, soon to be interrupted by an obnoxiously loud alarm. When the alarm finally went off, the boy opened his tired eyes.  Without much hesitation, he sat up on the soft bed and rubbed his eyes. As the button on the top of the small machine was pressed, the alarm fell silent. He yawned, stretching the slight soreness out of his arms, before getting up. Kiyotaka Ishimaru had been waiting for this day to come basically his entire life, however no amount of excitement could overthrow morning sleepiness. Slowly, he began getting ready. Everything he needed had been thoroughly organised and carefully put on top of his wooden desk the day before. He made sure nothing was going to be forgotten.

When all his things had been neatly placed inside his bags, he made his way down the stairs. There, his father was already preparing food for the train ride. "Good morning Kiyotaka, I hope you slept well, despite your excitement.", his father Takaaki Ishimaru greeted him, a slight smile forming on his normally serious looking face. Kiyotaka, carrying his luggage, quickly answered with a bright grin: "Good morning to you too father! I slept rather soundly today! If I may ask, what are you doing?" "I'm just packing you some lunch - a simple jam sandwhich." "That is most welcome, thanks a lot!", the younger Ishimaru hummed happily. He fully made his way down the stairs, joining his father in the kitchen. Said person handed him the sandwhich, while rather quietly telling his son: "I am so proud of you, Kiyotaka.", who rather quietly whispered back: "Thank you dad..."

The two men hugged each other one last time, before the younger had left the house.

----------

There he stood, right before the gates of hopes peak academy. His dream had come true, through hard work and perseverence. This was more than enough proof to the now-official-moral-compass, that his life motto truly was one to stick by. Nervously, Kiyotaka breathed in and out one more time, before confidently stepping towards the entrance.

Many other students had also found their way to the entrance, which was rather busy at the moment. Kiyotaka looked around to see of he could recognise anyone. Right after he had received his application letter, he had skimmed the Internet for some information on other ultimates who would be joining him in this semester. From the crowd he could make out around four people: Peko Pekoyama, the ultimate swordswoman - practising Kendo himself, Kiyotaka had immediately recognised her face. Said woman had uploaded some Kendo lessons weekly onto her website, which Kiyotaka always looked forward to. Then, Celestia Ludenberg, the ultimate gambler and Chiaki Nanami, the ultimate gamer. As as moral compass and as someone who finds almost anything besides studying a waste of time, he didn't look at those students in a particularly fond way, though he still held respect for them.

But there, leaning against a pillar a bit further away from the entrance stood another ultimate, one that Kiyotaka just couldn't fathom to have actually made their way into hopes peak - Mondo Oowada. Said student was enrolled as the "ultimate biker gang leader". A literal gang leader was accepted as a student of hopes peak...

Kiyotaka just knew that he was going to be a pain in the rear to deal with.

Being completely lost in thought, Kiyotaka almost missed the school announcement: "All new hopes peak academy students may make their way into the gym. There, each of you will be assigned a number and given a key. Those are for your dorm rooms on the first floor. Further details will be given by the staff waiting in the gym." Kiyotaka, along with the rest of the students, quickly rushed over to the gym.

----------

The dorm room was very neat and clean, just to the likes of the moral compass. They'd been given the information, that each of the dorm rooms had been designed to fit the tastes of the respective student. Kiyotaka had to say, the hopes peak staff did a fantastic job. The room was held in a very minimalistic, but comfortable style - The walls were painted white, with a few posters on it, showing off different information regarding various school subjects. There was one neatly made bed, presumably made out of birch wood and at the opposite side of the room stood a white desk with a comfortable looking office chair. There were also a few fully decked-out bookshelves along the entrance wall. Overall, the room had a very productive feel to it, just perfect for the boy now living in it. Kiyotaka placed his luggage next to the small wardrobe and started packing all of his belongings into it.

School would officially start tomorrow and he had to be prepared.
