A/N: Hi guys! This note is for anyone who came here because of my TikTok Reacts. I may change some details from the TikTok videos, but I promise to try and stick as close to them as possible (because that's what the Wattpad versions are for). Thank you all for your love and support!

You sat in the Gryffindor Common Room, your eyes hungrily scanning the pages of a muggle novel— one of your favorites, actually. You were so invested in the story that you didn't notice the other person in the room until he gently cleared his throat to get your attention. You jumped a bit, startled, then looked to the entrance to see Harry Potter smiling slightly at you.

"Oh, hey Potter," you greeted your friend with a warm smile. You moved your feet off the sofa to give him room to sit beside you (assuming that was what he wanted to do). Instead, he stood for a moment. "Erm... hi." He said awkwardly, then took a seat in the recliner adjacent to your spot on the sofa. You gave him a curious look, though his eyes didn't meet yours. "There's something I've been meaning to tell you," he admitted. His hands were folded, elbows on his knees, green eyes flashing between your feet and the floor in front of him. You felt your concern growing.
"Okay...?" You closed your book and set it aside to show him he had your full attention.

"I've been wanting to say it for a while, actually," he explained. "I just haven't found the right time to say it. Or... actually even the courage to say it. But Hermione thinks I should just do it and get it over with," he looked to you sheepishly, finally. "You know," he continued, "rip it off like a bandaid. It's not that I don't want to! I'm just afraid of how you'll respond." His rambling came to a trailed stop. He was silent, waiting for you to respond. You furrowed your brows in confusion. "Should I be worried?"
"No! I mean I guess that depends on how you look at it. We've been friends for a while now, you know. I just don't want to ruin that..." You remained silently confused as Harry continued to ramble, growing increasingly more flustered.
"Spit it out already, Harry!" Your impatience spilled over. The boy stared at you, ears red was he blurted out. "I like you... as in... more than a friend." You stared in shock, though a smile crept its way onto your face involuntarily. Harry seemed relieved at the sight, though he was eagerly awaiting your response.
"I like you too." You told him softly.

You walked with your best friend towards the courtyard. She was going on about how some girl in her last class gave her an unsolicited dirty look. She'd been having problems with this girl for a while... although her "problems" were mainly just dirty looks or crude remarks. You felt a hand on your shoulder suddenly, causing you to stop and turn around ready to fight. You paused— your fist raised, but stopped before you could throw a punch. Cedric stood, hand on your shoulder and wide eyes staring at your fist.
"Did I startle you?" He asked. Your face went a bright shade of red as you lowered your fist. "No! I mean yes... a little. Sorry about that."

Your friend gave you a knowing look as she watched you and Cedric smile sheepishly at one another. "I'll meet you in the courtyard, y/n..." she backed away with a grin plastered to her face. Cedric cleared his throat and chuckled, "Don't be sorry. It's good that you can defend yourself."
You rubbed the back of your neck and nodded, "Bet you wouldn't be saying that if I actually went for it."
Cedric laughed and shrugged, "Maybe I would be impressed?" You both avoided eye contact for a moment before he spoke again. "I needed to talk to you about something. Could we... go somewhere more private?"

Students flowed around the two of you in the hall, making it less than optimal for whatever Cedric wanted to say. You nodded. He led you to a vacant classroom, closing the door once you were both inside. You hopped up onto a desk to sit, looking at the prefect of your house with a touch of worry. Had you done something wrong? Why would he want to pull you aside like this? Your head was swimming with needless guilt— but then that was a normal thing for an over thinker like yourself. "Everything alright, Ced?" You asked, swinging your feet nervously. Cedric walked to the desk in front of the one you sat on and leaned against it, avoiding eye contact. "Yes. I'm fine. I just wanted to talk to you alone."
"Did I do something wrong?" You questioned.
Cedric raised a brow, squinting. "Did you?"
You pressed your lips together and shook your head, earning a light chuckle.
"This isn't prefect business," he assured you. "It's personal."
