I sit in the waiting room
Questioning my seating position.
Legs across from each other I question my leg position "together or crossed" I say quietly to myself.
Then again uncrossed legs are immodest I cross my legs when__
"Miss Leah Miller" says a woman with a clip board. I raise my hand she turns around and makes a follow me motion. I shuffle down the halls with her in my gray skirt and white sweater. We walk to a room door numbers 136. The woman with the clip board opens the door and says "good luck kid". I walk in and the door shuts behind me. "Hello I am miss Maria Wallace" she had red copper hair and a green suit "I will be assigning you to your house". She turns around to open her file cabinet while doing so I sit down and grab my résumé. She pulls out a really dusty folder that says Montclair I hand her a résumé. We do the regular exchange experience and qualifications but before I go she grabs my wrist "Miss Miller I must warn you their have been many accidents in the Montclair residency". A couple of accidents don't scare me I pull my hand away. "I assure you miss Wallace I'll be fine thanks for your concern". Ive worked to hard for this I need to get this job to pay for my college tuition. Mama is too weak to work she's in the hospital wilting away so I support her and me. Making it difficult sometimes.
