Leaving behind
my heart for you.
Please take care of it,
Like you always do.
I'll always be yours,
So, don't worry Jungkookie.
Just promise me one thing,
Will you always remember me?
Yours,
less a boyfriend,
more an ill friend.

Jungkook took a deep breath with the last sentence he read.
"W-why?" Jungkook shuttered as he bent his head.
~few hours ago~
"Jungkook? Is that you?"
The lady asked as the boy nodded in response.
"Hello Mrs Park. How have you been doing?" He bowed as the lady approached her with a smile.
"I'm fine. How about you? You've grown so tall and big from the last time I saw you. Been working out, young man?"
She laughed making Jungkook chuckle with a blush.
"So? What brought you here today after so long? We haven't met since what, your graduation, right?"
"Yes..." Jungkook sighed with a tiny nod.
"Oh well, it's good to see you here again.." She patted his back with a smile. Then she peeped behind him, her eyes searching for someone in particular.
Jungkook was quick to notice her action and he exactly knew who was she looking for.
"Uh..." Jungkook started with hesitancy in his vocals. "S-she's not here,"
Mrs Park looked at Jungkook again and raised her eyebrows. "Why not?"
"We..." He took a deep breath. "We're not together anymore. Uhh....our marriage didn't work out and later we just realised that we aren't fated for each other-"
"Oh my..." She widened her eyes with her hands covering her mouth.
"Actually, it's already been a year since we got divorced. And I wanted to come up here a lot time ago but...." Jungkook kept starting at his hands.
"I couldn't build up the courage to see him. I missed him so bad but I was scared. I thought he's still mad at me for something I don't know. I...."
He raised his head and met his eyes with her gaze.
"I'm here for Jimin.....Mrs Park."
She just nodded before she headed upstairs, Jimin's room according to the knowledge Jungkook had.
Jungkook looked around and closed his eyes getting nostalgic at the old memories he had with the familiar place. How he used to stay at Jimin's place more than his own house and how they used to be so happy together-
"Here..."
Jungkook looked at her confused when she handed him a diary. It was a pretty looking book with the letters 'Minnie's Journal' carved on the lavender coloured cover.
He titled his head in confusion before he flipped the soft leather cover, revealing the first page of the journal. It was almost blank with only two letters written at the bottom right.
'Dear Jungkookie'
~end of flashback~
Jungkook flipped the last page of the journal as a tear drop fell down his orbs, hitting the page right over the letters.
~Jimin-ah♡
The letters blurring out in the tear soaked page.
A hand landed on his shoulder and carssed it lightly. He raised his face and glanced at Jimin's mom who had a grimace plastered across her face.
"I'm sorry Jungkook. He waited a lot for you and I can assure you of how much he tried to stay strong with that weak body of his. But...."
She paused when she heard Jungkook sniffing but then decided to continue again.
"I cannot give you what you've come here for, Jungkook. All I can do is hand you Jimin's journal that he told me to give it to you."
"Afterall, he knew that you'd visit him. He'd always say that you loved him. He'd always look at the streets for you to come visit him. I still remember the way he smiled when he used to tell me, 'Mom, my Jungkookie will come to get me soon. He's on his way. I know he's coming, he's just a little late-' "
"And like he said, you did come but..." she sighed in defeat.
"I know you've back to get Jimin but you're late my son. You're very late." she mumbled before she walked out of the room.
Jungkook looked at her walk away with a hurt expression before he looked back at the journal.
He flipped the last page of the journal. His eyes gleamed with tears to the black and white Polaroid of them stapled on the last page.
Streams of salty liquid dripping onto the picture as he strolled his fingertips over the happy faced boy.
Jimin.
"I'm sorry for making you wait so long, my Jiminie." he cried. "I-I'm so sorry."
"I wish I could tell you..." He whispered as he clutched onto the picture and kissed it.
"...that I love you too-"
He wiped his eyes dry and stared at the picture again, a small smile creeping at the face of the pretty boy beside him.
"But I promise you, Jimin-ah."
"I'll never forget you-"
