Chapter 21

Hope's POV

Alaric and Lizzie were in my house. I don't know why. Alaric walks up to us.

Al: May I talk to my daughter?

H: Of course.

Al: Alone?

I look at Josie and she nods. I went and stood by Lizzie.

L: How was the weekend get away?

H: It was good. How was your weekend?

L: It was good.

It was now pure silence. My aunt Freya, Rebekah and uncle Kol wanted to listen in on Alaric and Josie. I wonder what they could be talking about.

Josie's POV

Hope stood by Lizzie. My dad took me outside and closed the door.

Al: Who are you picking?

J: I thought I had time?

Al: Tomorrow is court to see who gets who.

J: Okay, I want to stay with mom.

Al: Are you sure?

J: You're hardly ever home as it is so why does it matter?

Al: Shes hardly ever home too.

J: Shes been home a lot longer then you have. You've always been at the school or out drinking. I wouldn't be surprised if you showed up here drunk dad.

Al: After everything I've done for you, this is how you're gonna treat me!?

J: You haven't done anything! Lizzie had multiple break downs and each time I was there to help her! Mom was in Europe doing god knows what and you were drunk off your ass! You haven't done anything for us but drink all the bourbon in the fridge!

Dad looked at me shocked. I look at the ground and then seen Klaus and mom pulling into the driveway. Mom comes up to us.

Ca: Is everything okay?

J: Everything's fine mom.

I walk back inside and seen everyone looking at the door. It's either they heard everything or they are trying to piece everything together. Hailey comes up to me and hugs me. I hug back, completely breaking down.

Ha: Just let it out sweetheart. Everything will be okay.

Hailey rubbed circles on my back. Lizzie walked up to me and joined in on the hug. Everyone else followed along with Lizzie. What a terrible night. Mom walks inside and closes the door.

Ca: Lizzie if you're staying with your dad, you better get going.

L: I change my mind. I want to stay with you. Dad is a mess.

Ca: We're gonna have to get a new house.

Ha: We have that covered for you Care.

Mom nods and Hailey walks off into the kitchen. Mom followed behind her and Hope came up to me.

H: Come with me.

I nod and we walk up into her bedroom.

H: Sit down.

I sit down and she grabs out new clothes for me. I look down at my fingers that are messing with each other. Hope lifts my chin up to look at her. She kisses me passionately. She pulls away.

H: You'll be okay. Take a nice warm shower or bath and I'll get whatever you need next. Okay?

I nod and Hope hands out her hand. I take it and we walk into the bathroom. She starts up the shower and walks out. I shouldn't have said those things to my dad.

Authors Note: Okay so short chapter I know. It is also pretty emotional. I would say anyway. But you guys wanted them to stay together and go through all the rumors, lies, and just a bunch of obstacles. Chapters will be slow considering that school is going on. I have been busy with another fanfic I'm working on which I am really proud of how it's coming out. The fanfic is called 'Troubled Memories'. I'd say it's really good for the most part so go give that a read if you want to. Anyways I hope you guys are enjoying this and enjoy the next couple of chapters <3 And yea I know it hasn't been 2 months yet but I feel like I've made you guys wait for too long.
